I drink 600mL immediately upon awaking I drink about 1.5L per day during my 2 hours of cardio training 500mL about an hour before bed During the day i try to always have water with me, and i drink it freely as i get thirsty, hungry, or even just bored Just thinking alloud here, seems like i would be drinking a minimum of a gallon per day. I don't drink coffee frequently, just the odd decafe. I will have the odd organic tea here and there, and no more than once per week i will have 2-3oz of scotch or bourbon, kept neat. Sometimes i wonder if i drink too much water, cuasing mineral loss, so i mix some od my water with natural calm magnesium, and take zinc pills (amongst many other vitamins and minerals recommended by my doctor). Maybe i should add that i only have one functional kidney. I have tried to find information on how this effects the human body but it is sparse. Even my specialist tells me that i function the same as a person with both kidneys but i often wonder if it changes how i retain and process fluids. I'm up for any information anyone has to share on the subject!!! Thanks again to all the posters for sharing their wisdom.
