All - For awhile I had been injecting into my glute medius, the bulging aspect you see when you place your weight on one leg and stick your hip out .... I thought this was the ventroglute, or at least a part of it. Anyway, I pinned this spot for a few months and never had a problem. Then I had an actual ventroglute injection (penicillin) to treat strep throat. The actual spot was much lower than I had thought.... it was the 'dimpled spot' that could be found when I was lying on my side. To cut to the chase, am I ok to inject in the 'bulging' aspect of the glute medius where I had been pinning for months? You don't see any literature or nurse guidelines anywhere on this spot. For me, it was also essentially painless and felt like a great spot to pin. Thanks, J
