Question about Delt Injection

My 27g .5" needles arrived today. My question is whether you need to aspirate when injecting with these needles in the deltoid. On the video that Nelson posted it didn't appear that he did but I wanted to make sure.

Its generally accepted that aspirating isn't necessary, not for these types of SQ or IM injections, to see if you're in a vein.

Thank you! I haven't done an injection yet myself so I wanted to make sure I do it right. Currently "stuck" with the nurse jabbing my glutes with the knitting needle
