NOT on TRT, and my levels are in 'normal' range. But got my PSA scores and I have a family history, so was wondering if I should be concerned.

I'm 45. Dad had his cut out in 2010, is 80, still cancer free.

I'm looking into TRT, but don't want to pull the trigger just yet.

PSA (FREE AND TOTAL) IG
  • PSA, TOTAL 0.8 < OR = 4.0 ng/mL
  • PSA, FREE 0.2 ng/mL
  • PSA, % FREE 25 L >25 % (calc) - This shows 'high' on the report, but unsure what it really means.

I just googled it.

Percent-free PSA is a ratio that compares the amount of free PSA to the total PSA level. The total PSA level includes the amount of both free and bound PSA in the blood. Free PSA levels are often higher in those with non-cancerous conditions of the prostate and lower in those with prostate cancer.

Thanks, @Vince ! I did read that but still unsure of my Free PSA of 0.2 is good or not so good.
