So I'm looking for a prostatitis culture. I realized that whatever I have I passed to my gf as well now we both have problems. We are new partners, but she smells really bad during sex now its almost unbareable, whereas when we first met she smelled amazing, and I know it is probably from me. I don't think she has any other symptoms except for that. I have always had issues with a fishy smelling problem, and my prostate has ached for a couple years now. I want to do a culture, but my previous urologist refused, she simply gave me cipro after investigation I flat out refuse to take cipro. My work requires I work M-F 6am to 6pm so I have no way to ever go in or plan to see another urologist, is there any way I can plan to see a urologist or talk with a nurse or specialist on the phone and they can write up a culture? I infected my previous gf often too as she said she got a nasty infection after our first week of sex, but that it was cleared up with over the counter monistat. What do you guys think. I purchased ampicillin off from reliableRX, but I feel like I'm shooting in the dark when I need a proper culture work up done. How do I do this when I work during those hours? I guess I could go into an urgent care and specifically request a prostate culture...but that may not work. Thanks. Tim
