Been on TRT for 11 months. 51 when T levels registered which were Serum testosterone 11.9 nmol/L and FREE TESTOSTERONE 217.00 pmol/L [230.0 - 1000.0]. Prior to that I was always confused at why I couldn't put any muscle on or strength improvements in the gym, in fact I was in decline. The penny never dropped that I was low in the T department until I had an 'old man' set of tests done for completely different reasons. Although not fully dialled in with protocol etc yet looking back to 18 months ago I did not realise how lack lustre I was - no 'get up n go', didn't want to socialise, couldn't make decisions properly, no sex drive. The list goes on as in all others cases here. For me personally TRT has been a life changer. I do get ups and downs but the ups far out-weigh the downs. I'm not where I want to be yet - I'd like my libido back in full swing and I'd pay anything for that! But the amount of research I've done on TRT and everyone else's issues it seems that it 'should' be a case of fine tuning the protocol - protocol for 8 weeks, bloods and assess, adjust and repeat. There aint a standard template that fits all. In all I would dread having to quit TRT. Reflecting on what I was like prior to TRT compared to my current status, even though not perfect 'yet', TRT for the rest of my life with a smile. 3 - good(hopefully one day fantastic)
