They are trying to access what your flacid blood flow vs your erect blood flow is like. Check for restrictions, venous leakage, and other things. The actual ultrasound doesn't hurt. They will inject you with a vasodialator. From their they can decide what type of ED you are experiencing and the proper course of treatment to go with. They should also give you a receipt with proper codes so you can submit to private insurance. If you have Medicare and the doctor isn't opted out they shouldn't be charging you for the consultation at all.
