Omega-3...no protection against heart attacks, strokes?

That's a little disappointing! I feel like they help with my lipid profile which should help with cardiovascular health.
Agreed. I've taken enough Omega 3's over the years to sink a boat.

Need to read the full study and even than although omega 3 intake has other health benefits it would be short sighted for anyone to have ever thought that by supplementing with omega 3s (EPA/DHA) that it would protect one from having a stroke or heart attack as there are way too many other factors involved regarding cardiovascular disease.

Ones genetics, lifestyle, diet, quality of sleep, levels of stress, obesity, underlying health issues, environmental toxins.....the list goes on!

That article is terribly written. Omegas are personally responsible for my reduction in Triglycerides by over 50%. They are proven to reduce blood clots and dictate healthy heart rhythms. The fact that they did no test themselves and of the tests they looked at were from the 80's and 90's makes me dubious of any conclusions they offer. [h=3][/b]
