Testosterone Basics & Questions
I’ve had labs done 3 times the last few weeks. Any help/advice on what to do next?
It seems a large portion of mainstream medicine has a long way to go regarding normal testosterone levels and treatment of men on TRT, the docs that should be experts in this field are often operating in the dark. I have gone through many endo's and all of them don't seem qualified enough to be diagnosing and treating men on TRT and are just blindly following guidelines without having any sort of clue what they are doing and in fact my current endo wants to keep me <400 ng/dL. If you are prone to hair loss it will happen regardless if you are on TRT, TRT can accelerate it. I have more hair on TRT, not less. The fertility aspect can be dealt with using HCG, FSH or clomid. Interesting, I wonder how your doc knows these levels are healthy for you, there are in the normal range, but healthy is a matter of debate. The calculated Free T may not be an accurate representation of "your" Free T levels. It assumes everyone binds androgens the same.
