I am reading clinical studies on EP and the lingo used sometime simply confuse me.would you be kind enough to help me better understand certain parts,


For example:

"Humanofort (EP) possess a regulatory- adaptive trend, that depends on the initial values and the variations shifted towards the physiological limits. This observation was noticed for all parameters, including insulin and IGF-1, both endowed with regulatory action on lipid metabolism. More surprisingly, the regulatory-adaptive action of HT was also observed for other biochemical parameters, such as (cortisol, DHEA), as well as some immunological antigens such as PSA and CEA."


"The last mechanism, which might be involved in order to explain EP action, might be the interaction with neurohormonal acid hypothalamic-pituitary-gonads/adrenal glands. Indeed the administration of EP also produced modifications of cortisol and of some steroid hormones (DHEA and Testosterone), as well as some antigens (CEA and PSA)."


Now, what I understood was that it seems to reduce fasting insuline level, elevate IGF-1 when needed, improve lipids, reduce cortisol (?elevated DHEA?) and reduce PSA and CEA


Am I correct??????


I read somewhere the mechanism of action acts at two levels:

- normalize the adrenal cortex activity on cellular and tissue level
