How long does it take to upregulate deiodinase enzymes?

Hi,

Does anyone know how long it will take the liver (?) to upregulate its' conversion from T4->T3? The reason I'm asking is that I'm going to cut my T3 (will continue on replacement doses of T4) and it would be interesting to know when I can expect to see changes.

I'm not sure but a tapper down then cut might serve you better

Why do you want to cut your T3?

The deiodinase type 1 enzyme is located in almost all tissues in the body, not just the liver.

It will happen quickly but may be capacity limited. Do you know why your T3 was low in the first place? This could one of the causes.

If you do this, taper slowly as was suggested above.
