GH, IGF-1, Cancer - studies/data?

Hi,

I try to take in all of the data and make my own decisions. I've been thinking about adding a GH peptide and know about the benefits, but I have read that higher IGF-1 is cancer promoting, that we should strive for a lower IGF-1.

I remember this being promoted by proponents of vegetarianism, since animal protein increases IGF-1. Someone like that has an agenda, so their info has to be discounted. Here, of course, we have a bias pro GH/IGF-1.

I wanted to start a thread and ask about actual data.

Humans are so long-lived that I'm not sure if we have many studies, but what's out there?

Are there placebo controlled animal studies where we can see the effect (or non-effect) on carcinogenesis or other maladies?

The case for higher GH/IGF-1 (within physiological range) are well documented here, please help make the case against by posting some good studies.

While the IGF-1 system undoubtedly plays an important role in cancer development and progression, lower IGF-1 levels also increase cancer risk. Thus, the relation between IGF-1 and cancer mortality is U-shaped, as is the relation between IGF-1 and all-cause mortality. It should be underscored that only low IGF-1 levels seem to be associated with increased cardiovascular mortality, and that the risk of high IGF-1 levels only pertains to cancer mortality (and not cardiovascular mortality)."
