Thanks hva.  This has crossed my mind in the past, but my wife is very reluctant about medications and hormones.  She had her thyroid removed years ago due to Grave's disease and had some difficult times finding a good balance (and doctors) with her thyroid medication.  She also had some very bad reactions to different other meds over the years.  She seems to be hypersensitive to anything she takes.  I'll just have to live with what "action" I get, and see if I can help convince her over time.
