I have been told that it's not the estrogen effects of estrone that are concerning, it's the metabolites that Estrone breaks down into: 2,4 and 16 hydroxyestrone. 2 is thought to be cancer protective and the others are pro-cancer. DIM is supposed to favorably alter the balance of those metabolites.
Interesting info from [USER=38109]@Cataceous[/USER] that DHEA increases Estrone. I take 10mg DHEA twice daily and my Estrone was 87 at last bloodwork while E2 sensitive was 24.8. I'll stop taking DHEA then.
One last tip, my Dr. who is well regarded said that there is a new LC/MS Estrone test. He suggested to run this next time as the normal Labcorp Estrone test uses a lesser methodology.
