I started TRT at 50 yrs with a Urologist at 100mg T/wk.
My PSA was .9 ng/ml while on finasteride.
In three years, I had one PSA reading bounce up to 1.4 ng/ml but all the other 6 month readings have been either 1.1 or 1.2 ng/ml. My digital exams have been normal.

Prostate cancer runs in the family. One of my cousins popped for prostate cancer and his brother got nervous and insisted he have a biopsy for a 3.8 ng/ml PSA reading and very slight enlargement (while in his early 60s) and he tested positive for cancer cells. Scary to hear that the Uro didn't even think 3.8 was concerning and resulted in cancer. This PSA test seems antiquated.
