Last Friday, August 7, I underwent some rigorous outpatient surgery. A tapering dose of dexamethasone was prescribed and taken over the course of the first three days post-surgery. Having dealt with a limited course of steroids on previous occasions, I was prepared for the surge in energy/appetite/libido - and that's what happened. Forty-eight hours after the last dose I experienced the (expected) crash. No energy, slight depression, desire to sleep. But now, nearly a week later, I can't seem to shake it. My libido is slumbering, I'm sleepy, a bit of brain-fog is noticeable. All of this despite maintaining my injection and supplement schedule. is this a typical response for a patient on TRT? Just be patient and allow my system to slide back? Any thoughts are welcome.
