Hello all, quick back story. I am 26 years old and after years of struggling with the symptoms most of us on this site have experienced I finally just asked my doctor if he would consider testing my hormone levels. He wasn't keen to the idea at first until I explained all my symptoms to him at which point he went ahead and had the tests ran. My results came back pretty low, even lower than I expected honestly. Below are my results (bare in mind, I am in the military and doing all my testing through my military doctors so I didn't exactly have the luxury to choose what all levels were tested)
Total Test- 95.2 (ref: 348-1197)
Free Test- 2.76 (ref: 5.0-21.0)
SHBG- 12.3 (ref: 16.5-55.9)
Follicle Stimulating Hormone- 2.91 (ref: 1.5-12.8)
Thyroid Stimulating Hormone- 1.66 (0.27-4.20)
Prolactin- 6.46 (4.04-15.2)
Luteinizing Hormone- 3.15 (ref: all it says is "see-interp" not sure what that means)
When I got the results from my doctor he said that he wanted to test me again in a month because there are daily deviations in test levels and I could get low results based on a lot of different factors. My question is how much do your levels change throughout the day? From the research I have been doing 95.2 is very very low especially for a 26 year old so even if my testosterone levels doubled in the month after the initial test was done I would still be well below the normal range. Can I expect a serious change on my next test if it is under the most "ideal" conditions? Thanks in advance gents. These forums have helped me a ton with my research
