Cypionate/Clomiphene or HCG

Today I went to see a doctor and he wanted to start me with Cypionate. But I asked him if I can try Clomiphene first. So he wrote a script for clomid and asked me to come back after 8 weeks , do blood test at 7th week to see how I respond.

He will monitor my testosterone as well as estradiol. He said he will not prescribe me E2 blocker now , but if it goes too high he would.

I asked him about HCG also and he was open to hcg as well. He has lot of years experience on hormone theraphy.

If I do not respond to clomid well should I go for HCG mono theraphy or test cyp? I want to keep my fertility.

He put me on 50mg everyday. Gave me 4 refills. He will monitor my E2 level also. If necessary he will put me on Anastrozole. He is works for clinical research. But I am not on clinical research. Glad to find him , since he has lot of clinical research experience.

I've never used clomid but I believe the proper dose is 12.5 mg daily not 50 mg. Hopefully more members that are experienced in clomid will chime in.

I wanted to go back after one month on clomid. But he said I have to be on clomid for two month and than he will do the blood work on 7th week. On 8th week I have appointment. Blut he will check my E2 level and testosterone level at 7th week.

I wonder if I will feel better on clomid or feel little better.

Vince is right, 50mg/D is way too much and almost guaranteed to have Estrogen problems, 12.5/D is more appropriate. Though I do think/believe that if you're primary Hypo stimulating the testes is just going to be futile.

I think I have secondary hypo. If clomid does not raise signifactly after few weeks I will ask for cypionate. I guess if I am primary hypo I will not respond well with HCG.

A few weeks is definitely not enough time to tell if it's working. Put the time and effort in and hopefully you'll have good results.

If I do not see any improvement after 7 weeks and initial blood test I will go ask for cypionate. My doctor wanted to put me on TRT anyways.

Since he gave me the option, I just wanted to try clomid first to see how I respond. If I feel bad, I will just cut down the doze.

Regular cash price for 30 50mg Clomiphene was $50 something.

I was able to get the rx for $31.22 from Winndixie with goodrx coupon.

My concern is about acne while on TRT. Does anybody know what I can take to control acne? I used to break out a lot with acne a few years ago. I hope the acne does not come back. I have very oily skin. I took Accutane for 3/4 months last year and acne went away completely.

I heard lot of people use L-Lysine to control DHT.

For me acne has proven to be a high Estrogen problem and nothing else. I recommend dealing with it by using Selsun Blue shampoo as a body wash with a loofa or body brush.
