a good buddy of mine always listens to "Eye of the Tiger" before his workouts. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FLZS3jQPnKw
when I workout I listen to Jim Cramer "Mad Money" podcast.
I think that's a cool looking picture of the Tiger

Survivor - Eye Of The Tiger Lyrics
Risin' up back on the street
Did my time, took my chances
Went the distance now I'm back on my feet
Just a man and his will to survive
So many times, it happens too fast
You trade your passion for glory
Don't lose your grip on the dreams of the past
You must fight just to keep them alive
(Chorus)
It's the Eye of the Tiger
It's the thrill of the fight
Rising up to the challenge of our rival
And the last known survivor
Stalks his prey in the night
And he's watching us all
With the Eye of the Tiger
Face to face, out in the heat
Hangin' tough, stayin' hungry
They stack the odds till' we take to the street
For we kill with the skill to survive
(Repeat Chorus)
Risin' up straight to the top
Had the guts, got the glory
Went the distance, now I'm not gonna stop
Just a man and his will to survive
It's the Eye of the Tiger
It's the thrill of the fight
Rising up to the challenge of our rival
And the last known survivor
Stalks his prey in the night
And he's watching us all
With the Eye of the Tiger
The Eye of the Tiger
The Eye of the Tiger
The Eye of the Tiger
The Eye of the Tiger
I'm sure it can. When i was younger, I used to listen to a lot of heavy metal and rock. Fit the mindset I had as a young man. Today I prefer to work out alone, in silence, and use the time as if it is an active meditation. I try to get as deeply into the muscle contraction as I can and create a mind muscle connection. Music distracts me from that, so I prefer silence.
When I was 15, I worked out a gym owned by John Decola, the 1969 IFBB Mr. America. He was training for the Mr. America that summer. He used to close the gym each afternoon to work out alone in absolute silent concentration. My buddy and I were allowed to also workout during that time as long as we didn't speak and agreed to answer the phone and tell people the gym was closed. Needless to say we never said a word...ever...when he was working out. He swore by the mind muscle connection and is still alive and incredibly impressive at age 77. I got to think that the way he trained contributed to long term health. The weight itself wasn't as important as how it felt, contraction over poundages.
For me, music blaring is for the younger guys. I hope this is the only sign I'm getting old..
When I do exercise, I find that if I listen to the music (pop, dance music) the result is I can work out in longer time and don't have tired feeling
So yeah! Music is a miracle!
Funny Nelson I do the same. I actually was an active DJ years ago and listen to my mixes now. All House and Trance with the occasional Hip Hop mix. My mixes give me energy like crazy and makes my running pleasurable.
