Anti Depressant causing permanent sexual dysfunction??

I recently came off a stint of antidepressant use. After about 8 months off I started feeling numb or just weird down there .I now have trouble with getting and maintaining erections, Premature EJ, none of this I have ever had before in my life, my wife and I had an extremely good sex life. While taking antidepressants had no sexual side effects, maybe took a little longer, but that's it. Started researching and came across what they call PSSD or Post SSRI Sexual Disorder. Went to doctor and he said he had never heard of it, which it is very uncommon apparently, but he said it was anxiety or depression and wanted me to start SSRI again, which I did not. This has been going on for about a year now and you can imagine my frustration. I've had a million tests and all came back good. Can anyone confirm this to be true or know anyone else who has suffered this? I have purchased trimix through defy, used it once at .03 worked ok but would like to go through a urologist before I get to radical with it. Any help or advise would be appreciated. Thanks.

I would recommend posting blood work that might help just because something is "in range" doesn't mean its good and not all DR's are I tune to this.

I know for the short term when I used an SSRI I did have ED issues.
Also of big note for me...........my T was in the gutter after using Wellbutrin as well.
It would definitely help for you to have a complete hormone blood panel run.

Since I suffer from severe morning anxiety I am on both ssri (Lexapro and Wellbutrin) and no problem with any ED more than I had before. Before I only took ssri and the issue was mainly no or less libido. I complaind to my psychiatrist so he lower the Lexapro dose down to 0,5mg which is not even a therapeutic dose and added Wellbutrin. For me it has been more of a libido issue. For instance last afternoon I took pomegrante power with some Beet root juice. I don´t know how many times I woke up last night with a rocking boner. I´ll guess every one is different....

I took Paxil for a while(20MG ) and then Lexapro (10mg) . my current TRT protocol is 110 mg of test cypionate, take 55 mg twice weekly, Monday morning, Thursday evening. I also take 230 IU of HCG same time. My test at its peak was 1245 and on trough day was 745, free on trough day 16.1. E2 was 23.8. Still kinda tweaking protocol. I've often wondered what would happen to reinstate a low dose again , I realize normally SSRI makes things worse, but maybe might flip switch back??

I know others know more about serotonin and such but how do you feel mentally not using these right now?
Point being that if your having anxiety or depression that is not resolved, that in itself can ruin sex

I still have some anxiety and a little depression , most if it lately because I'm scared that my **** wont ever work like it used to. Tough decision to go back on a drug that kinda screwed me to start with. I definitely wasn't informed of this shit when I started, but that's in the past, trying to move forward, I think I would probably definitely feel better cognitively on it, but at 45 I'd still like to be able to function sexually and don't know if I could swallow another pill that may jeopardize that. Just seems crazy, always tried to take care of myself my whole life, work out , diet, military veteran, an end up here. This one has been hard to deal with mentally, but I'll keep moving forward. Any more info or advice would be great, this is a great forum and has been very informative and really saved me from further damage due to my original doc not being up to date like you all here.

I have chronic depression, and have for over 25 years. Been on every medication and combinations you could ever image. Until recently Cialis worked for me. I prefer taking the TriMix. it's cheaper, and never any doubt it will work, and work quickly. In my opinion, nothing worse for depression than no sex.
