Is it possible that the testosterone is working even though the numbers are low. In other words, could the “free” testosterone be high even though the normal number is low? I do see some good changes.

The tubes are “stickier” than the androgel. The androgel didn’t help. Wondering if the tubes will.

Is there a difference between these two? I know the androgel is 1.62% and the other is 1%, but are they the same thing? I believe the pharmacy gave me the tubes as a generic for testim. They have discontinued testim and only have a small amount left.

Went tomorrow. He was concerned with the increase in my psa. Weird since my tester one never went up while on it. Took me off androgen. Wants blood test in 3 weeks to see if osa goes down below 4.7. If not, he’ll send me to a urologist. Should i be concerned? Will it go back down?

Looks like the study only discusses that Testim T rates are higher than Androgel. My issue is there is No increase in testesterone using Androgel. However, I assume, based on the 2007 study, Testim is better absorbed?

Another quick question; if i want to stop androgel, for now, do i have to taper even though its not raising my testosterone?

Thanks for the response. My last test was 231 and my PSA went up to 5.6. When i had labs shortly after taking the gel, the numbers were up; however, over time, they went down.

What did you try and what were the results?

I’ve been using androgel for almost a year at different pumps. Lately, 4 pumps of 1.62. Testestesterone has not gone up at all. I saw a study from 2007 where participants using androgel weren’t seeing results. 70+ percent saw an i crease when they switched to Testim. Anyone else have this issue?
