    I’m not an MD, so take what I say in that light. When you say “sexual health”, do you or he mean ED or BPH? All I know is that if I take 10mg daily for more than 2-3 days in a row, I get godawful backaches. Can he give you a reference for 20mg/day dosage?

    If Chris Masterjohn is correct on this (), high dose niacin surpasses the release of free fatty acids in the few hours after taking it, so the body has to rely on carbs for fuel and becomes "very good at it". I think he's referring to IR niacin, so it seems that for ER niacin this would be true...

    Interesting, but missing from this list are the alpha blockers used for treating BPH. Not always mentioned is DE as a possible side effect but a review of the literature reveals that alpha blockers can be a cause. In fact, these drugs are sometimes used for treating PE.
