    ExcelMale members thoughts on dim?

Bump. Anyone have any further experiences to share with DIM / CDG? Got both coming in the mail next week, as I'm looking to see if they can help with my sebum overproduction and bacne.

Down-titration helped reduce E2 a bit, but it isn't enough. Time for an AI?

I remain fairly confident I'm one of those rare "hyper-aromatizers." I lowered my dose to 16mg a day (sub q) and my estrogen is still not in control. I made this decision (moving down from 24mg a day) just to see if I could get my estrogen into the lower or middle range. No luck. See my labs...

low shbg means high free E2 ?

As a guy with low SHBG, I'm tracking you guys to see what I should do next. All I know is I think I might be exhibiting issues of too much DHT and/or estrogen sensitivity (slight balding, hair thinning, lots of back acne, and some water retention 8 months into this), so I wonder if my "daily...

Down-titration helped reduce E2 a bit, but it isn't enough. Time for an AI?

6'2" 255lbs. I'm eating way cleaner, got back in the gym (from nothing at all to 4-5x a week), and am seeing a pretty decent body recomp.

Down-titration helped reduce E2 a bit, but it isn't enough. Time for an AI?

But isn't subq (assuming I'm actually there, though I know that I feel the needle hit and go into the muscle) better for E2 management?

No. (Shallow) IM in delts, ventroglutes, and quads. 29G 1/2" insulin needle.

Down-titration helped reduce E2 a bit, but it isn't enough. Time for an AI?

Thank you for your insights. I will advise that my initial levels were lower. The first set of levels you see are after 6 months of clomid, which my PCP wanted to try in lieu of diving right into TRT. My initial set of lab results showed 244 total and 7.1 free.

Down-titration helped reduce E2 a bit, but it isn't enough. Time for an AI?

All -- I just got my labs back and thought to share them with you to get your input and advice. I'm going to discuss the latest labs with my Physician this Friday, but I'm thinking of strongly advocating for an A.I. My back and shoulders are a minefield in terms of acne. It's out of control. I...

    Managing sides with daily microdosing?

Probably sitting at 20% BF right now. I wanted to kick off the journey with a year of recomp then cut. I generally watch what I eat, eat a lot of protein, and lift heavy, but don't do a ton of cardio and don't really manage any of the macros too strictly outside of protein. I'll definitely look...

    Managing sides with daily microdosing?

Back again, gang. I wanted to know: has anyone found that daily injections (microdosing) help with side effect management? To be clear, I've been feeling great on my EOD protocol thus far (started at 200mg a week, but down to 160mg as of last week). I'm losing fat, gaining plenty of muscle...

Lab Results 14 Weeks Into Treatment.

Thanks for the detailed response. I am reading through (and learning a ton), but here are the other markers he tested for (besides PSA, which is also within range at 1.2ng/mL): Also, my SHBG was at 10 prior to starting TRT. He did not retest for it. Have you ever donated? Where do your...

Lab Results 14 Weeks Into Treatment.

Lab results 14 weeks or so into treatment. My doctor has had me on 200 mg / week since day one. I have low SHBG (10), so by the third week I opted to change my protocol from the doctor's recommendation of 200mg once a week to EOD injections. Energy is stable, libido is going strong, lifts are...

Low SHBG = lower dosed, more frequent injections. Why?

It doesn't make sense to me, but I am sure there's something I'm missing. Note, I know that there is a complex relationship here, but I'm looking at this on the surface level. Isn't the "low SHBG = more frequent injection at a lower dose" protocol a bit counterintuitive? For example. Let's...

This video is commonly linked as an example of a VG injection; however, it doesn't match up with figures I've seen online.

I've injected into the VG (or what I think to be the VG) twice now since posting this video, and can only affirm that I firmly believe my suspicions are correct. The guy in the video is not injecting into the site traditionally labeled "ventroglute." At least on my body (and I'd like to think...

Question on injection method (IM in quads)

That's a helpful video. Thanks for sharing.

This video is commonly linked as an example of a VG injection; however, it doesn't match up with figures I've seen online.

Video: That, to me, looks to be too far back to be a true VG injection when I compare it to the images, figures, etc. that I've seen in many places. For example: Figure B is the ventrogluteal injection site Self-explanatory Those images are from two different sources. It seems to me that...

Question on injection method (IM in quads)

I am doing my second-ever self administration into my quad shortly. My doctor's nurse advised that I should try to "bunch up" some of the muscle/meat in my thigh and inject into that, but that almost feels like it makes my injection more of a shallow IM since I'm not the leanest guy (21% BF) and...

Did I inject this ventroglutes shot right?

I have read from others (no personal experience here, so ymmv) that 0.5" is perfect for delts. If you really want to use up the 0.5" stock you have, you might want to explore that route. And yeah, it could end up simply being a very shallow IM injection. I'll let others with more experience...

Did I inject this ventroglutes shot right?

Unless you're shredded, 0.5" is far too short. You need 1.5" for most gluteal injections.

    32 y.o. male starting TRT [200 mg / ml @ 1 mg / wk]

Thanks. I'll be switching to that next week. Do you inject only in your quads?

    32 y.o. male starting TRT [200 mg / ml @ 1 mg / wk]

Thank you for that. I believe those were checked, with the following results: A smidge on the higher end of the reference range, but nothing indicative of diabetes, from what I know. Doc also said he didn't see anything concerning there. T-update: Went to the doc for the...

    32 y.o. male starting TRT [200 mg / ml @ 1 mg / wk]

Hello all. As the title states, I'm starting TRT and my doctor has prescribed 200 of mg of test cyp. / wk. I'm actually going to the clinic tomorrow so that they can show me how to self-administer. Good times ahead (I hope)! I'm not a gymhead these days, but have some leftover muscle from when...
