Very curious about this. My ferritin dropped since I started TRT. Ferritin was 93 (38 - 330) Pre-TRT and has been between 37 and 41 since being on TRT the last 1.5 years.
My TIBC has been normal all that time, but my total Iron and Saturation have been slightly elevated. I've felt good, to...
Thanks everyone. I have access to HCG, Nolva/tamaxofin, and enclomaphine.
My doc, Uro, and functional doc are all on board.
My baseline FT just before TRT was low normal at 62, but 9 months before that it was 120 (out of 224). I know, still not awesome levels but when I wasn’t stressed...
Could use some sage guidance. I also am talking to my Uro who supports my thoughts of coming off.
The short of it is I was started TRT too early.
It was to help a non existent sex life in my 6 year relationship. We tried a lot of things, counseling, etc.
Had a lot of work, financial, and...
This is extraordinarily informative. Thank you, @Nelson.
My T/E2 ratio is always 4.5-5%. Ultra sensitive E2 is always above range (55).
The back and forth of manage E2 vs don’t even look at E2 has been a bit crazy.
This was helpful. I think I need to try a lower dose, alright I tend to...
My doc who is also on TRT and very knowledgeable switched to cream 7 months ago after years on injections and says he feels best on the cream. He said many of his patients also switched to cream and have felt as good on cream, if not better, and had less sides, with better management of CBC...
My provider is a Dr./uro who is on that channel. I take everything with some gains of salt, because, well… let’s just say the last two years the corruption and incompetence of science and Medicine have been just that.
but I trust my doctor who backs up his assertions with peer reviewed...
So admittedly, I am still a little confused about the Ferritin/Iron thing. If I supplement, it seems I'll creep toward iron overload. If I don't supplement, it'll take a while for my ferritin to get back up to a better level, although while on TRT it could remain 'low' based on labs.
I've...
I started at 120mg, yes. On a Cyp/prop blend. It was good in the beginning, overall.
6 weeks labs showed slightly elevated HCT of 50 so my then provider told me to dump, which was dumb, but I didn’t know better and he’s no longer my provider.
I started off with bad management. Dumping...
Thanks for the feedback. ...Yes, the doc and I agreed to go slightly higher and he was aware of my CBC being slightly over range, and me not having any symptoms related to elevated H/H, RBC, etc., we went higher for symptom resolution and since I was just over 4 monts in and my body was still...
Yup, good points and doc and I were ok pushing up to 120 to see. Here are the labs below you mentioned from the same draw.
For some reason they posted above; May have to “click expand” to see them.
Also, I will add that today I feel 90% better than I did the last two days. So it's weird...
I’m thinking reduce the dose? My new doc thought to try going slightly higher but at this rate and how I’m feeling, I’m thinking lower the dose or consider an exit protocol
Attached below was exactly on 48 hours after injection on a Wednesday on Sept 7th, when I was about 3 months in. I pin MWF.
This was on 100mg weekly.
I’ll get new labs on Friday.
It’s been more restless these last two weeks. Since starting TRT it’s been decent but not super consistent. Some great nights and some not so great.
I wear an Oura ring to track sleep and got an Wellvue O2Ring to track if I have apnea. Between both, nothing points to apnea.
I have had...
Yeah, I've wondered if going to twice a week would be better for me. Some guys obviously feel better with less injections and the labs look good as well. Cheers.
I'm now 8 weeks into my dose increase (120mg, up from 100mg).
The dullness, brain fog has never really gone away. General fatigue on most days as well. ...I am wondering if my dose is too little or too much. Kinda frustrating.
My doctor requested labs which I will be taking this Friday...
Thanks, @Vince . Appreciate the feedback. So you've never experienced any side effects while going up or down in dose?
Curious: how did you get your HCT to stabilize after 2 years. Did it resolve on it's own or as you change dose volume and frequency, added supplements, etc.
Cheers.
@Systemlord I agree with you and thanks for the reply.
I'm definitely not judging the new protocol at this point, rather, just seeing of what I am feeling could be a side effect of titrating upward vs. something else non-TRT related. Just seeing if anyone had similar experiences going up or...
Thanks for the reply. Yes, that's correct. I increased by provider's suggestion to see if that helped resolve some issues.
Since I am 5 months into TRT, we're finding the sweet spot.
If it is not common to experience some of the brain fog/fatigue on an initial dose increase, then perhaps...
I just increased my dose from 96mg split MWF to 120mg split MWF, 3 weeks ago. Last week (starting week 2) I had a few days of fatigue and brain fog.
It seems to be lifting a bit now, but since I'm still new to this, I'm curious if this can happen and will level off.
My levels at the op of...
I do see a lot of guys anecdotally that not only felt better with less frequent injects (once or twice a week), but their H/H, RBC, and E2 levels went down on labs.
I realize what plotters and studies may show, but also good to consider the qualitative data out there from personal experiences.
Not sure yet. I won't test for another week, Nov. 9th, which would bring me to 8 weeks since I last tested.
I'm seeing a new (and better) doctor this Friday and hope to get dialed in better. He's got great feedback.
Are you still doing EOD? And where are you today: 98 or 84 weekly or...
My first vial/prescription when I started TRT was a blend: cyp/prop. My second vial was just cyp.
I have to say, and maybe because it was my first and I was stacking natural with exogenous test, I think I liked the blend a lot more. It was 'instant' feel good and didn't really feel a...
I'm exactly two weeks into lowering my dosage since I started this post, but I don't feel better. I actually feel like I'm a little more sluggish and still no libido to speak of.
I'll hold steady for the next few weeks until my appointment with a new, more knowledgeable, provider on Nov. 4th...
