    Thyroid labs

I see patients start noticing low thyroid symptoms with a FT3 of 3.1 or below. Your DHEA looks good. The range seems off vs other lab companies. I agree with getting a FT3 and RT3 but understand it can be tough through the VA. There is a good chance you may have some low thyroid symptoms with your TSH and total T4 numbers. Vitamin D is low normal which can happen even with...

Anyone take dhea before bed for better sleep?

I see good results with 25mg before bed. DHEA can decrease due to stress causing difficulty staying asleep, decreased dreams and sweating the small stuff during the day. Most people take it before bed however if you feel like it keeps you awake (about 10% of people) then take it in the morning.

Understanding Your Hormones

Estradiol (E2)

A form of estrogen produced from testosterone. Important for bone health, mood, and libido. Too high can cause side effects; too low can affect well-being.

DHT

Dihydrotestosterone is a potent androgen derived from testosterone. Affects hair growth, prostate health, and masculinization effects.

Free Testosterone

The biologically active form of testosterone not bound to proteins. Directly available for cellular uptake and biological effects.
