Are you having any type of high E2 symptoms? My SHBG is 8 and you topped that with 6!
I’m with Vince, I feel good with E2 in single digits. Without normal SHBG, us low SHBG guys can’t rid ourselves of E2 like normal SHBG guys.
Some common symptoms for me are:
1. Heart palpitations
2. Anxiety...
Yes, that makes total sense as I feel the same way. Frankly, I never had issues with my prostate until I started TRT.
I can feel it when I walk, when I feel it is swollen. Kinda weird I know.
How do you know when your prostate enlarges?
I am finishing up my 14th week of TRT and in the last three weeks I have been feeling my prostate burn and it feels like it is swollen. Really odd.
If we stop TRT - does the prostate shrink down?
You are correct, you missed it. Pre-trt E2 was 38 and first 6 weeks E2 bloods was 45. I felt like death. I was diagnosed with General Anxiety Disorder 4 years ago. They misdiagnosed me - it was because I was overweight with low T and high E2 with SHBG of 8. Imagine with me what my Free E looked...
Frankly, I did not know there was a way to reduce bilirubin levels. I don’t take anything for this condition, do you?
But you bring up another point, you said you have a cough. When I started TRT, I found that the morning of my dose (a few hours later), I have a dry hacking weazy cough. I...
So it may be that your SHGB is buffering your E2 too much along with the AI. A Free E test would give the entire story as to where you are at with unbound estrogen.
The higher SHBG number, the more it binds with sex hormones (T and E2). That is why I can live with an E2 number of 9 because I...
Just as another data point for this thread - my last bloods had E2 at 9 and my SHBG pre-TRT was 8.
I felt great (no ED or loss of libido) and no side effects of AI. Had Dr’s appointment yesterday and he is good with E2 BUT he is watching it closely. He understands we are all different but is...
Hi SL -
That is interesting. I have Gilbert’s syndrome and have always had high bilirubin. AND I have itchy skin usually on my abdomen but my liver enzymes are okay.
Yesterday started my 12th week of TRT and I already have concerns about the longevity of this path. I totally agree with the psychological effects this has on my resolve.
Vince - does HCG 200 weekly help you and are you shut down? I was taking HCG 500x2week and it was killing me. I need to consider a lower dose, I just don’t know at what point it is still therapeutic. I had to stop taking it until I get my E2 under control.
Free E looks great! How did you feel...
Vince:
Just found this thread and was in awe. We could be brothers! I have identical issues. But my SHBG is even lower than yours which means my Free E is killing me. I cannot make it without AI. I tried lowering dosage (EOD) .125 and feel terrible. My sweet spot for AI is .25 ED - I know, a...
I would not be concerned with TT. It is FT that is bioavailble, meaning, it is not bound and it can be readily used by your body. That is the number you want to look at. That is something I had to learn.
My TT is low but my FT is nice and on the high of the range. There are a few reasons why...
Because your FT is high and low SHBG, I would drop the dose of Test C in order for you to better manage E2. You are like me with low SHBG and I struggle with E2 symptoms terrible. I inject everyday to keep E2 as low as possible and take .125 AI in the morning and .125 at night because of...
Close - I was prescribed .125 EOD and was scared to death to start because I thought the world would end - yeah, I read too many posts here about “crashing” - but still had issues with heart palpitations - anxiety - stress - feeling terrible. I increased to .25 EOD but found out that on the off...
Well...great question. At this time, I am doing .25 ED. I took bloods today and will see what my E2 Sensitive looks like from Quest while on this protocol.
But my post stressed the fact that I came to TRT with a General Anxiety Disorder diagnosis with high pre-TRT E2. Just to note - GAD...
So, all I can say is when I started an AI, all of my anxiety left.
I was diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder four years ago, when, now I know for me, it was Low T.
I am now off of Ativan because AI fixed anxiety issues. One issue that I am trying to fix is I am overweight, which more...
I struggle with anxiety. Four years ago I was diagnosed with General Anxiety Disorder while at the same time my weight went up and I probably was misdiagnosed - truly, I have low TT at 220 pre-TRT testings. I started TRT 9 weeks ago and fell apart when I used HCG with my treatment without AI...
So I am starting my 8th week of TRT. I had E2 issues and it seemed to go sideways with HCG. After my HCG shot, I felt terrible BUT my libido went through the roof.
So I wanted to experiment.
I stopped HCG for a week and a few days and my symptoms subsided, jumped back on it and E2 symptoms...
TSH 2.18 Range .40-4.50 mIU/L
T4 Free 1.1 Range .8-1.8 ng/dL
T3 Free 3.1 Range 2.3-4.2 pg/ml
TPA 1 Range <9 IU/ml
IGF-1 170 Range 52-328 ng/ml
No reverse - doc didn’t order it. I may need to ask him at the 6 month tests.
So I’m starting my 8th week of TRT on Monday. I have not donated blood yet, but the interesting thing is, the burning sensation can start a few hours after my injection. I do not believe it is my H levels rising because it happens too soon, but I believe it to be my body’s reaction to Test C...
Well, I notice my face gets warm, red and flush with TRT and I’m on a low dose of Test C and that is outside of my exercise routine like when I’m at my desk at work.
It is similar to having a fever on my face - at times it burns but not painful burn. Kinda looks like a sun burn.
Ahhhh - that makes sense. I would have to extrapolate that the reason there is more T is it hasn’t been converted into E2 - therefore, according to you article, there is more T that is bio available. Nice . I would think it would not make a difference if it was natural or TRT.
Also, I felt...
One more question concerning AI.
Does the AI stop the process conversion of FT into E2? Does it therefore leave the FT for better use?
What I’m getting at is, will I access more FT if it is not being converted into E2?
Fifty and Vince -
Thank you for your input. Also, good to hear that I’m not alone when it comes to the symptoms of E2. My AI arrived today and I took one .125 - if you say they are fast acting, I should probably notice changes in a day or so?
Thanks again for your response.
Yes - I have E2 symptoms. And the blood work was right before my Test pin. What exactly does trough mean?
My doctor was thrilled that my FT was doubled to 107.4
I guess TT doesn’t mean all that much if FT is high - I asked for higher dose and he said FT was doing just fine. So I am at the same...
