Hello
I have been working with an endocrinologist with some thryoid and cortisol problems over the past year and a half, and although my thyroid problems are being addressed well, it is a mystery (other than pure stress) why I have such high cortisol
For example, this is two nights of my most...
Thanks.
I forgot about DHEA. Will try that.
The other things that have been helping recently have been meditation, running, lifting, and an herb called ashwagandha. Ashwagandha is supposedly and adaptogen that acts as a buffer to stress responses. It took a couple weeks of it to feel any...
Can't wait to check this out.
A year into TRT and stronger and healthier... and about 4 months into treatment for hypothyroidism... At age 42, I almost feel like I have my life back... Mornings, especially.
Still have adrenal issues to deal with -high cortisol levels that strangely seem to...
Hey guys.
Thanks again for your input.
I'm around 9 months into TRT (Test + HCG) with a urologist.
Gains in mental, physical, and quality of life in this time frame, but also looked into what seemed to be dysfunction in adrenals and thyroid. Now have an endocrinologist who is both cool...
Thanks for this!
It's very useful for me because I finally am having my mild hypothyroidism treated. I've been on TRT (test + HCG) since the end of last June and that is going well, but I've felt like it was only addressing 3/4 of my fatigue and other symptoms.
It has been just under 3 months since I started my test/hcg regimen (60mg test cyp 2x/wk, 750IU hcg 3x/wk) and I just have to say that things are finally picking up for me.
I don't have the crippling sluggishness that made me drag a$$ in the morning and/or want to nap in the middle of the day...
I'll take note of the free T3 and free T4 labs for next time...
The estradiol was not the sensitive assay. Doctor is not a fan of AIs and just wants me to watch out for nipple sensitivity. (I guess I could always take DIM/ eat a lot of broccoli too..ha)
Sex drive has been solid and improved -...
I'm a 41 year old who went through 4-5 months of HCG monotherapy to little effect, and two months ago switched to 60 mg test cyp 2X/week and 750 IU HCG.
It took almost two months to feel much difference, but my total test zoomed up to 1010 ng/dl and free test went to 2.8 (range= 0.87 to 5.47...
No labs to report on the test plus HCG regimen yet(I am not on an AI.). The 475 figure was from before, so I have no idea about numerical effectiveness ...yet.
As an aside, my doctor's office does not share my labs with me.. period. The reason why I don't have detailed reams of numbers is...
Nelson
My total test before starting this Test + HCG regimen was 475 (my June blood work). I imagine that my levels will go up very soon.
In terms of metabolizing, my experience with HCG monotherapy shows that either I'm a fast metabilizer and/or my testes capacity is pretty lethargic/slow...
Nelson, yes, as far as I remember the free T has been stubbornly stuck at that.. (0.8% or so) before, under HCG Monotherapy. Little change. Only the total T has gone from 350 to 475 over four months.
I won't have additional blood work for another five weeks.
(Btw, I always bug my doctor 's...
Hi
I've recently (3weeks ago) switched from HCG monotherapy (2500iu 3/wk) to 60 mg test 2/wk + 750 iu hcg 3/wk because I was only slightly responding to monotherapy (total T went from 350 to 475 over 4 months)
my free T , however, seemed to be stuck under 1% (0.8% mostly )
While I've seen...
I was on HCG Monotherapy and just switched to Test + HCG -- all without an AI
...and I have had E2 levels as high as 53 but haven't had any noticeable side effects, but honestly, I wonder if I should worry in the future.
Unfortunately, my doctor is very hesitant to prescribe an AI. He often...
Thanks for the replies, guys. I apologize if the post came off as a bit cranky in tone.
They took forever to get 18 gauge sharps ordered (3-4 days later), but they didn't fit the syringes that the 25 gauges came in, so it was pointless. They didn't understand that both sharps would have to...
Just switched to test and hcg --need advice re needle size snafus
Nelson
Thanks. I was able to convince my doctor to switch me to Test + hcg.
By the way, do you know a good way of buying needles and syringes?
My doctor sent an order for syringes with 18 gauge needles (to draw test) and 25...
fast metabolizer HCG
Nelson,
My doctor has recently referred me as a 'fast metabolizer' for the HCG that I am on, so this makes sense. I've had some moderately positive results and effects from the HCG monotherapy, but honestly, it does feel like the injections only 'last' for 1-1.5 days and I...
The strangest thing happened after a couple months of 1500iu 3/week hcg monotherapy -- my estradiol went down.., (from 86 to 53)
My test went up from 350 to 470, my energy levels went up, and my cortisol and thyroid levels went to super normal.
Doctor says that I'm a 'fast metabolizer' of the...
SuperDutyDave,
I've been through two years of awful financial stress. For a while my stress was eating me up on the inside -- to the point where I was regularly angry enough that I had to go to the gym two times a day.. and then regularly breaking down physically and stress-wise....
My best...
Nelson,
Thanks for this.
High cortisol (27.89 ug/dL), low testosterone (250 ng/dl) , and relatively high prolactin (19.9) and TSH (3.730 uIU/mL) were all 'flagged' by my first blood tests done by my primary care doctor and my endocrinologist, and yet neither was willing to do anything for me...
Chris,
Thanks for your response, and sorry for the late reply.
Although I do remember that my total test dipped back down to just under 350 ng/dl in December, I don't have my most recent labs from my urologist handy at the moment, so until I get a hand on those, I was wondering if I could ask...
Thanks for your ideas. You may be right. I'm pretty indifferent about what the solution is. I just want one.
I did get a high cortisol (blood) test- (50% above normal), but that was followed up with a 24 hour urine test that showed my cortisol to be completely normal (dead center in normal...
Hello
New to this forum and wanted to say hello.
I'm a 40 year old guy who has been going through a maze of doctors for the past few months.
I originally went to my primary care doctor complaining of chronic fatigue, low mood, low sex drive, insomnia, high stress, inability to concentrate...
