    Difficulty finding the right dose

I don't know that I've seen much in the way of a change of the size of my balls after 5 years on TRT (no HCG). I didn't exactly measure them before though. Maybe they were small to begin with. Lol. Couldn't care less about the size of them personally.

    Difficulty finding the right dose

Personally, I think less is often more with any kind of hormone replacement therapy. Most of my side effects went away when I adjusted my dose so that my TT trough levels were in the 500s vs. being near the top of the range on injection day. As others have said, you'll peak around 2x whatever...

    Androgens make hyperthyroid worse?

Thanks. I know there have been some studies showing HYPERthyroid patients having very elevated RT3 as well, so if RT3 is blocking the T3 receptors, it's certainly not doing it fully or enough to counteract their hyperthyroidism. I think there's a lot that the medical community still doesn't...

    Androgens make hyperthyroid worse?

The problem is, there's no proof that reverse T3 is actually a problem. Some people have this idea that RT3 is a competitive inhibitor to the active T3 hormone (as in RT3 somehow blocks T3) but I have yet to see proof of this in any academic article. Others have shot down this theory and said...

    Androgens make hyperthyroid worse?

Taking T3 can definitely increase SHBG. There's a known relationship there. Also, as you stated, TRT typically lowers SHBG for most men. I have a different philosophy than many on thyroid treatment and I personally don't think most people need very much T3 - just a small amount is enough IMO...

High HCT - trying to decide whether to get phlebotomy

Lots of areas have blood banks throughout the city/county - we've got 6 blood bank locations in my county and 100+ mobile blood drive locations in any given month. If your HGB/HCT levels get TOO high it's my understanding that you may need a doctor prescribed phlebotomy. I think they basically...

High HCT - trying to decide whether to get phlebotomy

I didn't have low ferritin before donating - far from it. I was in the middle of the range or better. It didn't tank until after after a couple of donations in 2019 - 6 months apart (whole blood only - not double red cells). I only found out my ferritin tanked because I decided to test it...

High HCT - trying to decide whether to get phlebotomy

How about ferritin tanking?? Agree. I don't think most guys test ferritin and it pisses me off that blood banks don't test it when donating. I donated a couple of times in 2019 and my ferritin TANKED. My ferritin was 14 with a range of 38-380! Not good! My previous ferritin results from...

Wildly Different E2 Numbers - LabCorp vs. Quest

Combination of cost, not necessarily believing that LC-MS/MS is always “better” in all circumstances (i.e. unless at the very bottom of the reference range), and kind of losing faith in the reliability of the Quest Ultrasensitive right off the bat when I got the “54” result a couple of months...

Wildly Different E2 Numbers - LabCorp vs. Quest

Yes, BUT... My Quest E2 was basically over the range a couple of months into TRT. Technically, my E2 was 39 on a trough day which was at the very top of the range. My ultra-sensitive result was WELL above the range. I also had another test result on a peak day (not trough day) of 46 with...

Wildly Different E2 Numbers - LabCorp vs. Quest

Thanks. Ideally, I'd like to email both companies and explain the situation and my results (vs. calling and speaking to a low-level employee which will probably accomplish nothing). I can't seem to find a good email address with either company to do so however. Email addresses exist on their...

Wildly Different E2 Numbers - LabCorp vs. Quest

I have not. I will look into how I might do this.

Wildly Different E2 Numbers - LabCorp vs. Quest

Nashtide, I am not sure I’m qualified to make a decision as to which lab is correct and which one is wrong. I was hoping that perhaps this thread would generate some discussion where others shared their experiences. Mainly, I was trying to raise awareness of the Quest vs. LabCorp discrepancy...

Wildly Different E2 Numbers - LabCorp vs. Quest

Really?? Way to put me down for trying to alert members that LabCorp and Quest numbers are significantly different. Some of those labs WERE the sensitive/ultra. And those aren’t exactly foolproof either from what some members have posted. Several people have said they got bizarre results with...

Wildly Different E2 Numbers - LabCorp vs. Quest

I have no idea. That's the frustration. One lab is clearly wrong and has no business testing E2 in men.

Wildly Different E2 Numbers - LabCorp vs. Quest

Because one of them is clearly wrong. If 20-something is the sweet spot for E2, then it definitely matters. According to one lab, I likely would have been in this sweet spot without an AI. According to the other lab, I was well over this sweet spot. This is a big problem. I am simply trying...

Wildly Different E2 Numbers - LabCorp vs. Quest

I won't bore everybody with details and fluff - the numbers speak for themselves. Bottom line, Quest and LabCorp E2 numbers are nowhere near each other based on recent lab work I had done (Quest numbers were 2x LabCorp numbers). Be careful if you are managing E2 with only a single lab...

    Anastrozole follow up question...

I don't think that's how Arimidex works. Arimidex doesn't kill E2 that's already been made - it helps to block the E2 production in the first place by inhibiting the enzyme that produces E2. In my mind, you want to block the enzyme just before E2 levels start to rise. I would think that...
