Agreed. As it stands now I am only starting hcg to see if that will help my testosterone. Based on the labs he is hoping that will be enough to kick my testes up and start producing naturally.
Even when I’m up to 15mcg of cytomel it sounds like a fairly low dose compared to others. Baby steps...
Had my initial consult at defy. Here’s the initial plan based on the blood work:
BEGIN HCG Inject 500 iu SQ three times weekly to raise testosterone levels (Inject 50 units three times weekly on a 30g ½” insulin needle)
BEGIN Anastrozole 0.25 mg two-three times weekly as needed per E2 symptoms...
Started cytomel this week. 5mcg for a week then 10mcg for a week then 15mcg until retesting levels in about 2 months. Hoping it will increase my t3 and in turn lower my rt3
I also have a high rT3 level. After a visit last week to defy medical we are trying to use cytomel to increase my t3 production which would hopefully improve my ratios. Rechecking in 2 months.
yea my triglycerides are crazy high. Haven’t been this high since high school when I was on accutane. It’s almost triple what they were last year. The reverse t3 really sticks out. Definitely a first.
Definitely a lot of conflicting info out there. One big reason why I haven’t done much. I for sure know that I want to try everything I can before a statin though.
EXACTLY what I am looking forward to. It’s been like battling a demon uphill both ways in the snap without arms or legs. Just getting nowhere and it’s frustrating as heck!
Heres a dexascan. It was alarming. I was working out with my trainer (on a pretty strict monitored diet around 1800 calories macro based) for almost 4 months when this was taken. It’s my trainer who prompted me to get this done as well as some bloodwork since the scale isn’t moving much (a...
Thanks Vince! I was looking at some former labs and my total cholesterol is down about 10% from last years physical. Still a ways to go obviously. I am hoping that somehow I can stave off having to start a statin. I’ve read niacin can help (non flush free kind, around 1500mg per day) but haven’t...
Hey all!
In a different intro post I had posted some labs and was advised to get some other testing done. Here are my complete labs. Thoughts?
I have an appointment with the PA at Defy on August 8. Fortunately I live close so it’s an in person appt.
36. Divorced with 2 kids. No plans to have...
i know the focus is on testosterone, however, has your cholesterol always been elevated? Your height/weight/bf% isn’t alarming but, the cholesterol is up. I know mine is partly due to genetics also partly to me currently being a fat a$$. Working hard on that which led me to get some bloodwork...
well in your Original post you said: I used to be with defy and my doseage was higher which had my free test quite a bit higher. I felt amazing then. But it’s expensive and my wife has really good insurance
It sounds as if that is the reason you switched hence why others may have taken it why...
I received updated labs today for the missing pieces. I’m scheduled to meet the the PA at Defy on August 8.
I’m seeing my high reverse T3. I have gone through some increased stress (thanks to a divorce) and have always had some super slow metabolism. Have always had a tough time losing weight...
Spoke with Jesse as he promised on Monday. We ordered some new tests which were done the same day. Really looking forward to the results and being able to get in with the dr.
hey Jesse! I’m glad (for you) that you get Saturdays off! I did name drop you and was told that they will give you my info on Monday along with my email and phone number. You are absolutely correct on the place on Kennedy. It’s obvious after I put some money out that it’s all about profit and...
Well darn. An expensive lesson for sure.
I just got got off the phone with Defy. An intake person will be calling me Monday. I saw that they will write a script so insurance can cover it once the $250 consult fee is paid. This is an option.
i also have a consult with a place called Tampa...

Thanks for the prompt and thorough reply! What’s crazy is that this dr is at one of the local T clinics that has super hot flashy models and muscly men parading around as spokespeople. It was my urologist I didn’t feel comfortable with hence why I went elsewhere (and from the sounds of it...
36. No history of use (though was diagnosed with low t years ago). I don’t see LH or FSH on my report. I’m not the best sleeper. Never have been really (which I’m sure plays into some of my issues). Maybe 6-7 hours on a good night. Workout with a trainer 3-4 nights a week with lots of strength...
long story short....went through some personal stuff some time ago and really started feeling like garbage. Went to see a urologist who tested my T and said I was low and recommended TRT. He wasn’t super knowledgeable as I was the one that mentioned hcg and anastrazole to him as he was...
