life flo dhea cream destroyed me

I guess I am on the opposite end of the spectrum, as my pre-TRT labs have my DHEA Sulfate off the charts at 616, with a reference range of 49-344. Does anyone know if this is dangerous, or how it factors into my decision to start TRT? Obviously I shouldn't be taking any DHEA supplement...

UPDATE // New Member w/TRT protocol from Defy. Please compare, critique and advise!

Definitely keep us posted. I received a similar protocol from Defy but haven't started yet. I'm especially interested to see if it helps with your brain fog, anxiety and fatigue, as those are the issues plaguing me the worst right now.

    Results are in (HCG potency)

SafeMeds4All has HCG that they call "Pregnyl (Generic Version)," so I don't know if it's supposed to be exactly the same: http://www.safemeds4all.com/product-details/pregnyl-5000iu-generic-version-freeze-dried-hcg-injection/530.html

Wow...labs after only a couple injections...

Isn't the HCG supposed to keep your body producing its own testosterone and hopefully avoid such a crash?

UPDATE // New Member w/TRT protocol from Defy. Please compare, critique and advise!

I thought anastrozole was a pill taken orally? Are you talking about injectable anastrozole mixed with T?

UPDATE // New Member w/TRT protocol from Defy. Please compare, critique and advise!

I just posted a recommended protocol that also includes anastrozole .125 twice weekly and the feedback I got was that you shouldn't use an AI to start off, but rather wait for follow-up labs to see if it's needed, since it's easier to add it later than recover from an E2 crash. (I will note that...

    Decision Time: T-Cyp or Clomid

I remember the difference between primary and secondary, but thought Clomid was for primary (stimulating the testicles to produce more T than they already were). I guess the doctors knew I was secondary, though neither one actually said that. Can that be determined just by looking at lab results?

    Decision Time: T-Cyp or Clomid

It's always encouraging to hear success stories. What is your protocol, and how long before you started seeing improvement in symptoms?

    Decision Time: T-Cyp or Clomid

Hmm, neither of the doctors I consulted mentioned that to me when looking at my labs. What is the difference in treatment between the two types if using T-cyp?

    Decision Time: T-Cyp or Clomid

LH is 1.4 (low), FSH is 1.9 (low normal). I had an MRI that showed no pituitary tumor so I think I am primary. Will most likely go the T Cyp route but I wanted to see what people had to say about the Clomid.

    Decision Time: T-Cyp or Clomid

I do care about ED and libido, and of course I want to benefit from TRT as much as possible, but the first thing I need to address is this brain fog, fatigue and anxiety, which are keeping me from being able to function normally. Just getting back to the way I felt a year ago would be a huge...

    Decision Time: T-Cyp or Clomid

Right, I kind of figured if TRT raised my estradiol level, that might actually be a good thing, since it's so low to begin with, as long as it didn't send it off the charts and give me symptoms of high E2. Right now I definitely have the fatigue, anxiety and too much sleep issues, but I...

    Decision Time: T-Cyp or Clomid

That's also what I gathered about the anastrozole from reading posts on here -- don't take it unless numbers/symptoms show that you should. What would be some symptoms of high E2?

    Decision Time: T-Cyp or Clomid

Right now I just want to feel normal again and get back my sense of well being. I've had brain fog, anxiety, and fatigue for the past 7 months and it's really wearing me down to the point that I can't even function normally. I don't care about the fertility at all, and honestly ED and libido...

    Decision Time: T-Cyp or Clomid

    I was given two choices for treatment of low T: Option 1: Testosterone Cyp 200 mg/ml – 0.35 ml IM/SQ TWICE A WEEK (140 mg/week) HCG 400 iu SQ 2x/week Anastrozole 0.125mg 2x/week – h/o elevated E2, titrate on follow-up Vitamin D3 5000 iu daily Fish oil 3-4...

Total Teststerone Low But Free T in Normal Range?

Unfortunately I didn't get an appt. with Dr. Saya, he was booked well into August and I really need to do something asap so they booked me with another doctor (can't remember the name she said but I think it started with C, though not Crisler). The DHEA is another concern, I know some men...

Total Teststerone Low But Free T in Normal Range?

I guess what I don't understand is, if the free/bioavailable T is within normal range, why am I having so many bad symptoms? I thought the free T was the main decider of whether a person experiences symptoms, but obviously my low total T is causing problems. Whenever someone reports on their...

Total Teststerone Low But Free T in Normal Range?

I've been trying to decide between cream vs. injection, as both Dr. Crisler and Nelson Vergel have said that transdermals get an unfairly bad rap among TRT patients, and I know there are some people on this forum who are doing great on creams. Honestly everything I've been reading about the...

Total Teststerone Low But Free T in Normal Range?

SHBG is 30.6 with a reference range of 19.3 - 76.4. I was thinking of trying a compounded cream first, does that seem advisable since I would be applying it daily as opposed to less frequent injections? LH is also low (1.4), not sure how that would play into the TRT.

Total Teststerone Low But Free T in Normal Range?

My first test results from LabCorp showed my total T very low (156), but free T was actually within the reference range, though on the low end (9.8 with ref range of 7.2 - 24.0). Is this unusual? Any thoughts as to why? It almost makes me question the accuracy of the lab test. And...

Pre TRT Lab Results and Questions

I just got my test results from LabCorp. Wondering why my total T level is so low but free T is in the low/normal range. Also, what do the very high DHEA and IGF-1 numbers mean? I still need to get a physical before I can set up a phone consultation with a doctor at Defy Medical.

What is the difference between compounded testosterone cream and compounded T gel ?

Orrin, do you take anything else along with the cream (HCG, AI)? Also, how long did it take you to receive the cream from the time you were prescribed it? I'm considering asking my doc if he can prescribe the cream first to see if it works, if not then I'd try injections.

First time using TRT and thinking about adjusting the dosage

Orrin, what strength cream are you using? I haven't started trt yet but was considering trying cream first to see if it worked.

First time using TRT and thinking about adjusting the dosage

timk, what made you not use HCG to begin with? I haven't started TRT yet but I understand HCG is usually prescribed along with it. The idea of having to inject 5 times a week is really scary to me, since I've never had any real health issues up until now. But there's no way I can go on...

gel vs injections ( pros / cons ) feelings and experiences wanted , over shots :(

I would like to check into the cream option and see if it works before resorting to injections. But with creams/gels you still have to inject HCG, usually twice per week, correct? I know one guy on TRT who was prescribed HCG tablets that he puts under his tongue, but I've read in other places...

New Member With Low T and Some Questions

I know there is another thread here about HCG and whether it has helped others, or if it just provided cosmetic benefits. (Some even claimed they felt better when they didn't take HCG.) I think I would want to take it to keep my body producing T, so in case I had to discontinue TRT for some...

New Member With Low T and Some Questions

Hey all, new member here, 55 years old. After experiencing a host of symptoms (brain fog, fatigue, anxiety, depression) and being told by three doctors that my regular blood work and tests showed everything to be "normal," I did some research on my own and requested a testosterone level test...

    new to trt

Were you having symptoms with your level at 666? I'm 55 and after experiencing symptoms I recently found out my total T is in the 130-140 range. My goal with treatment would be to get in the range you are naturally.

    What are low testosterone symptoms

Brain fog and lack of mental focus is the one that's bothering me the most. Yes, I also have fatigue, anxiety, some depression and poor sleep, but I could almost live with those issues. The brain fog is making me feel like I live in an alternate reality, and that the rest of the world is...
