Im sure the threshold for supression vs. replacement will vary to each individual. you will have to titrate up slowly until you get the optimal t3 and rt3. I have been titrating since 5cg, currently at 60mcg and rt3 dropped from 23 to 10, but the ft3 is still on the low end at 2.3...so i will...
You've convinced yourself that you have a thyroid problem. I agree with everyone else, doesn't appear that way to me. Typically with Euthyroid you'd see Low FT3 and High RT3 i thought. What about SHBG? E2 could definitely come down. I'd focus on getting dialed in with trt but i wouldn't be...
I would hate to run out or God forbid forget them sometime. I'll need a stash in the office, truck, home etc. Haha
So if t3 only therapy naturally suppresses t4 and lowers tsh...wouldn't it be beneficial for everybody to supplement some t4 for instances when you do run out of t3 for whatever...
Thanks, Vince.
Follow my logic...I'm already taking 27 total mcg of the t3 with the compunded t3/t4 combo. Any value starting over at 5mcg of t3 only? Just sounds low to me.
Going to start t3 only. Was told to start at 5mcg and increase by 5 every 1.5 weeks. Not to exceed 30mcg. Hope this does the trick. Was also told to cease the selenium and iodine supps. I'm assuming this new course will naturally suppress t4...so I'm on this for life? Not that it matters but...
Thanks, Mark. I had a suspicion the rt3 was the culprit. But its trending in the right direction...so isn't this a good sign?
T4 is low so wouldn't logic say to increase ndt? Hopefully I can get defy on board with giving the t3 a shot.
I'm not even really after significant weight loss. I will be if I dont get this figured out. I'm after not feeling like hell and secondary would be optimizing current body comp.
Doing more bloodwork tomorrow...will post update when results available.
Need some advice with some side effects guys. Had a thread in the bloodwork forum but figured this would be more appropriate here. The numbers prior to beginning protocol:
Free T3 - 1.3 pg/ml (ref 2.0 - 4.4)
Free T4 - .82 ng/dl (ref .82 - 1.77)
TSH - 1.180 uIU/mL (ref .45 - 4.5)
Thyroglobulin...
Thanks Vince. Patience is going to be tough with this. Dragging myself through life is getting old. This is still considered low dose? What would something aggressive look like? I think the t3 may have been a better choice in hindsight to drive down the rt3 but I guess every guy is so different...
so its been a week and a half since Ive been on the t3/t4 combo treatment. I was told to start with 2 pills (9mcg/38mcg each) then titraite up after 2 weeks to 3 per day if no hyperthyroid symptoms - 2 in the am, 1 early afternoon.
Well i called a week in and said i still feel like crap, so I...
So Dr. Saya was also surprised to see the optimal TSH. He said he has seen it but it is not common, does not believe pituitary failure.
Vince, you nailed it. I will be treating this aggressively according to him. We will be doing a T4/T3 combo titrating up. Need to keep an eye on the...
Appreciate the feedback, guys. Yeah I'm exhausted to say the least. I've ordered a complete thyroid panel so we will see what the rest of the data suggests.
Cortisol panel was not that bad. I wasn't over producing too much and was still following the proper circadium rhythm of the rise and fall...
Just got back some follow up labs from Defy. I've been dealing with some fatigue issues for a while now. I'm not necessarily tired all day but I just have this fatigue like feeling where I don't have any energy some days and libido isnt back to where I want it. Workouts are pretty intense, life...
Thanks, Dr. Saya. And here I thought it was a mistake to not include so I had the office include at my request. Well thanks guys, now I know. I'm anxious to see semen analysis results.
Gene/Tom, Thanks! My simple mind rationalized that if hormones were low then no sperm would be made. I thought LH would spike on HCG. I clearly have a lot to learn in this lifelong journey. Well, you have eased my stress. I will schedule that analysis! Gene, I'm waiting until I totally forget...
Hi all, 33 y/o Male currently under Dr. Saya's care. I am currently on T Cyp 50mg 2 x week, HCG 500 IU 3 x week, and anastrozole .15mg 3 x week.
Just did bloodwork after 3 months of being on this regimen, everything looks good except LH and FSH.
LH - .1
FSH - <.2
E Sensitive - 20.8
Total T -...
