    TRT Doctor - Ottawa

Hi everyone, It's been a number of years, and I am revisiting my old thread. I am wondering if anyone knows of a good TRT doctor in Ottawa that I can consult regarding TRT. Many thanks.

    Low Testosterone Discussion

Hi CoastWatcher, I hope all is well. I do not believe I saw this last post. Shamefully, I did very little on these issues in the last 2.5 years. I was investigating other health issues over this time, and life happened. To update: 1) See attached for the Bone Mineral Density test (April 2017)...

    Low Testosterone Discussion

Had the follow-up appointment. If I can recall correctly, here is what was said: - re DHEA - She said there is no point because my E2 is not that high. - re thyroid antibodies - she said she tested all what she could. - re the elevated LH - she said it is not that high. It's more...

    Low Testosterone Discussion

Oh that is right. Sorry- Attention, focus, memory, sleep, etc still crap. Sort of like I am on auto-pilot or not fully there. Apologies. Alright, I will report back tomorrow. Although, I am starting to lose faith that testosterone or estradiol is the problem, at least cognitively. Perhaps the...

How does DHEA relate to E2?

    Low Testosterone Discussion

I understood that my E2 was deadly low though? Edit: I forgot - E2 tests in Canada over estimate the E2 levels. Most recent was 66, so it is probably lower. So I guess that is probably not an issue either. Hmm.

She said that if it is below 60, "we're good".

    Low Testosterone Discussion

Yes. I am pretty sure when I brought it up last time, she dismissed the idea. To inquire: - E2 levels - High LH - DHEA - S - Thyroid antibodies

    Low Testosterone Discussion

Hey CoastWatcher, I saw your reply, and forgot to reply to it when I said to myself that I would reply later... oops. To everyone who still follows this thread: My follow-up appointment is tomorrow. I will bring up the low E2 and inquire as to why my LH is high, yet testosterone is normal...

    Low Testosterone Discussion

DHEA sulfate? How do I test my DHEA sulfate? Dr. Saya, what is your opinion on my situation? @Coastwatcher - I'll probably have to look up your endocrinologist recommendation here in Ottawa as the endocrinologist I saw said my E2 levels (the first blood test) were normal. Can anyone share...

    Low Testosterone Discussion

Update: Sleep study won't happen until March 3rd, so I will have to delay my follow-up with the endocrinologist. If my E2 levels are dangerously low, has anyone had successful with E2 treatment? I am assuming the testosterone levels are normal, and not really a cause of anything (except the...

    Low Testosterone Discussion

Can I conclude that I do not have low testosterone? 1) I need to have that sleep study done. If I have sleep apnea, then all of this will be solved. 2) E2 may describe the cognitive problems, but does not explain why I cannot add muscle or even get stronger. Perhaps it is just who I am, and I...

    Low Testosterone Discussion

I am 25, not 30. Not much of an age difference anyways. This has been going on my whole life. So then it is normal for men to go in and out of a state of hypogonadism. I find that is abnormal.

    Low Testosterone Discussion

Blood was drawn at 3PM for the first test, so I suspect that is the reason why the discrepancy exists. Even if levels decrease throughout the day, is it normal for people to have their testosterone decrease to that of a person with hypogonadism?
  17. H

    Low Testosterone Discussion

Natural. I am probably going to have to find a new endocrinologist because I am almost certain that when I have my follow-up, she will probably neglect the E2 levels because she said my first test was normal. Can low E2 cause a lack of muscle and more importantly strength? Poor sleep quality...

Here are the results of my 8AM blood test. I guess I don't have low testosterone?

Starting TRT Soon-Interested in the Way it Has Played Out for Others

    - Hard to listen to your body when you felt "normal" your whole life :P -Those symptoms- if they could be removed, I would be living in a dream world, haha. Glad to hear it's working out.

Starting TRT Soon-Interested in the Way it Has Played Out for Others

If it is truly low testosterone, and only low testosterone, then biologically it has to work. If it's not, then it leads me to think that there is some other biological mechanism that is inhibiting the exogenous testosterone from working. Either way, I hope you figure it out ERO. :( Edit: Have...

Yes I do. Thanks. Does anyone else want to share their pre-TRT vs post-TRT experiences?

    Low Testosterone Discussion

Thank you for sharing. Much of what you outlined in paragraph 1 is what I had/am experiencing. I hope I am not expecting a miracle with TRT. I guess I will find out.

Oh sorry - I meant symptom wise. Pre-TRT for x years you felt x,y,z. Post-TRT for x years you feel aa, bb, cc.

    Low Testosterone Discussion

No, you understood correctly. And she hinted that if I have a lot of the same symptoms despite having the 394 ng/dl levels, then it's possible they're not high enough, and treatment would continue. But I am concerned that because she has this view that those levels were normal, she will say...

    Low Testosterone Discussion

Yes, that is true. I hope this is the cause of my many frustrations. This terrible memory, lack of focus, brain fog, terrible sleep, and lack of muscle/strength, etc will be solved. I don't know about your story, but this has been going on since I was 13, 14. I am concerned that if my 394...

    Low Testosterone Discussion

I do urinate a lot. But it's more to split my day working at a cubicle if anything (sad, I know :P). Knees, joints, have always popped even as a kid. Could be, and more than likely, due to EDS. I am excited that if this low testosterone was not a fluke, then I will receive treatment. It sucks...

    Low Testosterone Discussion

There is no cure for the Ehler-Danlos. I am lucky in that regard (so it seems, but I still need to determine the type). It is the classical kind, without the heart problems or joint dislocation or the other deadly side effects (although I do have an enlarged right heart ventricle, and very...
