I’m not sure which it was, I suspect the DIM. My experience with it was so bad, I’ve never tried either again. I’m just taking a very low dose of an AI instead, plus watching my diet and exercise.
I just had some labs done - my Seum Estrone came back high at 126! The range is 15-65.
Meanwhile, my Estradiol is also high at 44.2 (range is 7-42).
What the heck is the difference between Estrone and Estradiol?
I'm on hCG mono - I had crashed my E by taking Letro, so I've cut back on that to...
Cataceous, you might very well be right, and the pregnancy thing might be a coincidence or just making an existing issue worse - although for the record, all the articles I read on the subject documented men's T levels throughout pregnancy, up through the postpartum stages, and most showed a...
I'm curious - can you tell me more about your protocol Mr S? You mentioned that you're currently taking 100 of T and 1500 (500x3) of hCG? No AI?
What are your T and E levels, if you don't mind sharing? And no indications of testicular shutdown on that protocol? You mentioned you experienced...
Yes, that’s my understanding of it - that things like Clomid or hCG only suppress at the pituitary level, so in theory, testicular function remains. That’s been my case thus far, which is why I’m not especially anxious to add T to the mix, except that I’m really starting to feel crappy.
My MD...
I appreciate your feedback, for sure, and there’s a lot we can parse here.
But like I said, for the sake of argument, let’s assume it’s pregnancy related.
My question still stands to fellow members of the site: have other men on TRT experienced any pregnancy related issues with their T...
I had crashed my E using an AI, and it's slowly coming back, it's currently at 15.
My TSH is slightly higher than I'd like at 2.2. This is unusual - I'm hypothyroid and had increased recently increased my dosage. I feel best between 1 and 2.
@Cataceous - There's a ton of literature to...
So I've been on hCG +AI therapy for about a year and a half now, and for the most part, have been feeling great.
My wife is about 37 weeks pregnant, and over the course of the pregnancy, I've been feeling worse and worse - feeling pretty much like I did pre-treatment - brain fog, low libido...
So just did a full panel, and indeed my T levels have dropped about a third from where they normally are from roughly 950/1000 to 740.
Unfortunately, this jives with all the literature I've read on expecting fathers - in theory, T levels drop a full third, which is exactly where I am.
I don't...
First, for some reason, I stopped receiving notices when people respond to my thread, so I didn't see this until today.
This is super helpful, thank you!
One question: Vince suggests that any addition of T will induce shutdown. Isn't the point of taking hCG with T to avoid a shutdown? My MD...
Like the thread title says - I'm curious to know what the lowest possible dose of T I could add to HCG mono without inducing primary testicular shutdown?
I'm secondary and have been on HCG + AI for a year and a half now with great results, but unfortunately, I've crashed my E.
I'm injecting...
Personally, for what it's worth, I agree with this. If you're secondary, I think there's a lot of benefits in trying to boost your T levels through your body's own production. I'm a strong responder to Clomid and hCG, and I don't want to induce primary, so for now, I'm very happy trying hCG...
Hey man, I owe you a PM, I'll get to it this week, promise ;)
So the Nolva completely cured the gyno, but the sides were awful - depression, anxiety, extreme lethargy and fatigue, muscle weakness. The only positive is that I dropped an amazing amount of weight, at least 6-7 lbs and around 3-4%...
This makes a lot of sense. Right now I'm doing 10mg tamoxifen daily, w/ .25mg of Anastrozole on shot day. Feeling better physically, energy-wise, emotionally - and no gyno.
I'm gonna keep tapering down on the tamoxifen, maybe switch over to Letro, we'll see. I'm tolerating the low dose of...
Really? It seems super common on here and elsewhere.
Isn't there a general rule of thumb for when people like to dose their AI? I'd assume same day as their shots, but I've also seen people say next day, middle of cycle, etc.
My story here...
I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but I can't seem to find a clear answer.
When is the most effective time to take an AI?
I'm currently taking hCG mono on Mon, Thurs, Sat mornings. What would be the most effective time to take my AI based on that schedule?
For that matter, what time...
I don't quite follow...wouldn't I want to taper down to 10mg a day, except maybe on shot day, where I'd do 20mg?
I was hoping to get Aromasin, but the Dr said he hadn't prescribed it in years - only Anastrozole, Letro, or Nolva...
Howdy folks, the thread title says it all.
I'm currently on 2000iu weekly of hCG that I split into three doses (750iu Mon, Thurs, 500iu Sat).
I'm finishing up 6 weeks of Tamoxifen to knock out a case of gynecomastia.
You can see my thread on my Tamoxifen/Nolva experience here.
Current levels...
I've tried the DIM and C-D-G, and it caused an unreal amount of depression and anxiety for me. This was after about a week daily usage. As soon as I went off, things felt better a few days later.
I didn't have any bloodwork happening, so I can't say for sure what it was doing to me...but boy...
More updates.
So it's been a month, and in that time my physique has totally changed (for the better). I've lost around 5-6 lbs, and around 3% body fat. I look ripped in a way I never have, despite doing CrossFit 5 days a week and a healthy diet.
Downsides: I'm super fatigued and have less...
I just had my blood drawn - waiting on the results.
I don't know if I'm a great candidate for TRT - fertility is a big concern and my physician feels that if I'm getting gyno on hCG, I'll still be getting it on T.
I'm currently doing 1500 IU of hCG. At 2000 IU I felt amazing, but that's what...
You weren't joking. The hairloss, lethargy and depresssion is the worst. I was fine for the first few weeks, but it really kicked in bad in the past week.
Curious - you said you've done this four times now. How are you preventing gynecomastia in your current protocol?
Update:
3.5 weeks on Tamoxifen.
The positives:
-The gynecomastia has all but resolved. It fluctuates throughout the day, at it's best I'm 95% better, at it's worst, 75%.
-I've lost a lot of weight. I've dropped close to 5 lbs. It's a combination of muscle and fat - but a lot of stubborn belly...
I'm relieved, lemme tell you. I'm shocked at the difference in only 3 days. And no, definitely not going to rush with this at all. I'm going to make sure this resolves, and then figure out a way to get my levels back where they were before I change anything up.
Hard to tell if this is...
Quick update: 3 days on Tamoxifen 20mg daily (10mg in the AM, 10mg in the PM), and the gyno seems to be resolving already. It's sort of reversing in the same order it started...which means the discs under my nipples might be the last things to go.
Too soon to tell if there are any side...
Howdy!
Here's a strange question, but I figure it's worth asking on here.
I'm going to be getting a combination of PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) and Stem Cell therapy injections in my lower back due to help with arthritis of the joints and my discs drying out.
Is there anything about HRT and the...
Thanks for the replies everyone. I'll report in a bit on how I'm feeling and if this resolves the gyno. Other members might find the information useful.
Just in case anyone is suffering from the same issues that I have, here's the latest, and it's not looking so hot.
At 2000iu I was feeling amazing, my T was at 1010, but my E was at 59 and I started to develop minor gynecomastia.
I've since dropped down to 1500iu, and my most recent labs came...
