Unless you need above 200 mg to achieve symptom resolution, which admittedly will be a fairly small portion of people on trt. My dad needed 350 mg weekly to get 900 ng/dl and high 20’s free. Thank god he had a urologist well versed in trt and wasn’t afraid to give a higher dose

I find this super interesting and I wonder what the mechanisms were that made you guys respond better to androgel. Is it possible the strength of the cream spiked testosterone and dht super high and that could be why? Is it the alcohol in androgel that slightly slows absorption time?

Depends on how much fat you carry on the glutes, but I think most can hit IM with 1” pin. I personally prefer sub q, but some get lumps and their testosterone levels go down significantly even though in theory it shouldn’t matter.

The main problem with commercial testosterone gels for most people is the concentration is too low. I believe Androgel is 1.62% testosterone, most will not be optimized on that, but some will. If you really want to use gels for whatever reason, they make compounded gels in 10 and 20% strengths...

I actually think lower concentration transdermals can raise dht higher if both are applied non scrotally, because of local 5 ar saturation. Just a thought, but I’m from from being a fountain of hormone knowledge. Hope some of the smart fellers on here chime in, good luck brutha

I use Empower’s 20% compounded cream at 6 clicks daily. Defy switched me to 3 clicks scrotum and 3 clicks non scrotal to knock dht down, I was in the 300’s ng/dl. I apply 3 clicks twice daily

Where on your quad are you injecting? It should be injected in the upper outer quad area, roughly where the pocket on pants would be. I’ve had issues in the past before I injected in the pocket area.

Top of foot, front of neck, upper chest, wrist, forearms, and back of knee all seem to be areas with decent absorption for most

So when I apply the cream to a larger surface area like my forearms, cream disappears in about 10 seconds or so. On my scrotum in takes significantly longer.

Have you personally used inside of the arms exclusively or in combo with other sites? Did you get labs done with non scrotal application sites by any chance?

DHT should stay elevated for much longer than that, as it takes longer to reach peak levels I believe. I think you need to experiment on yourself with different protocols and labs. I know labs can get super pricey real quick though and dht test is quite expensive by itself

4-5 hours per Keith Nichols. There is a research paper out there that displays this info, too lazy to post it now. 2 or 3 hours might be peak levels, I’m not sure off top of my head
