Does anyone know any women on HRT through Defy Medical ?

My wife has been for a couple of years. She is happy. They helped her through menopause. Have been very easy to deal with for her. She dealt with Dr Calkins at first then a lady NP

Youi will likely have to do the initial blood work and patient intake. All Dr are going to want their own stuff. insurance is a no go as far as Iknow. I moved to Defy as it was far cheaper than obsidian

    Cholesterol Lowering: Crestor vs Niacin

Well folks, i knew i would get flamed. Hopefully you are never laying on the table wondering if you just saw your wife for the last time. After survivng a 100% occlusion of the LAD, and being told there are 6 additional blocks in my heart that are 20% occlusions. And a familial paternal...

    Cholesterol Lowering: Crestor vs Niacin

Ask for the calcium score test, pretty easy and not overly expensive. 14 months ago i had a heart attack with cholesterol scores that were in range, on the high side of normal, but in range. Even Did a exho/ stress/echo 9 months before event and it was fine. Turns out i have 6 additional small...

    How to proceed?

DHEA, seems low as well as Free T. The free T is what is going to help you. It is what is not already bound up with SHBG and Albumin. You have very little left over. I feel best when mine is around 20-25. You may be a candidate for smaller more frequent injections. But I am not a Dr...

    Lipid panel questions

Golfboy307, LP(a), inflamation and homocysteine we did a couple of times. Last one was probably 12-18 months prior upon my Defy intake. Nothing was out of the ordinary. You are correct, CVD is still not completely understood. I have no w know, due to dye test during MI, that I have 6 small...

    How to proceed?

I do the same as Vince, I am in Virginia and am happy with the care I get and their overall service. Likely your insurance will not reimburse, so typically out of pocket, but well worth it and not hateful expensive.

    Lipid panel questions

No I did not. In fact I did an echo/stress/echo just 8 months prior to get a baseline as I knew of the family history. They had to get me running at 7mph at 15% incline to get my heart rate up to max. The test results came back with no issues! So no high labs and a previous echo showed no...

    Lipid panel questions

sh1973, I concur with Vince, Get your calcium test done and evaluate from there. A year ago I had a heart attack while training for the murph workout. I am in good shape, I did/do not eat bad and workout regularly. I was cruising along at 7mph on tread mill when I begin to feel the effects...

    Where to start?

Correct, try a local dr if you like, hopefully you will find one that understands the issues.
  15. mooseman109

    Where to start?

Well the problem is a large percentage of Dr know little of testosterone therapy. Some right out disagree, but most think they know, but really do not. If you have a good one locally that is awesome. Defy is focused on men’s health issues.

Anyone take dhea before bed for better sleep?

It did not help me when I tried it, I could not tell a difference.
  17. mooseman109

    Where to start?

In my opinion, getting blood work without medical input at this point may not be the best thing you can do. You can go to discountedlabs.com and order labs and have them sent to you directly without having to go to Dr. But you have some issue of some sort. I most do not know of any home test...

    Subcutaneous injections causing lipid problems

sub q daily here, no difference in labs or effect. In fact HCT actually went down a bit, likely due to low dose daily versus larger dose with less frequency

Not sure of all of your other blood work. But I can say, I move slowly in adjusting protocol. You took a small dosage reduction, so I would let it go a couple weeks to see how my body adjusted. It is a journey for sure

    High red blood cells.

Well I do not think I would donate once a month, you iron/ferritin will crash pretty quickly and I hear that is a pretty rotten feeling for awhile. I keep my hct at 52-54 and am fine with that, all other blood values are mid range. I would donate at your point. It is true that Red Cross or...
