NO MORE AI !!! FEELING AMAZING!

Given what you wrote, would you recommend that he lower his free T in order to be in the normal range, even while knowing that he would feel sub-par at the lower level?

    ED ongoing issues

Insomnia and constant urination from low E2? Very interesting. I hadn't heard of that connection to E2. I Have both of those symptoms. I'm going to have to go look at past labs to see if they correlate to my E2 levels. I Hadn't considered this. Has anyone else seen these symptoms...

Study Finds Increased Risk of CVD from TRT

I also take comfort in reading that the highest risk was during the 6-24 month period when first starting TRT. I am well past that mark now. Probably a lot of us here are past that.

NO MORE AI !!! FEELING AMAZING!

What I mean is that my worry is that my body would become accustomed to the high level of T which would require more T. To which my body would become accustomed, which would require even more T. ETC ETC. Similar to how one gets insulin resistant. Too much exposure to insulin and over the...

NO MORE AI !!! FEELING AMAZING!

Congratulations on feeling better. That's the holy grail. I will say tho. My free T is at 21 and I am vaguely worried about testosterone resistance at my level. But your free T is 3x the upper normal range. I know I'd be worried at that level. Not sure if I would do anything different...

    TRT erection issues

You used lexapro for low cortisol? I didn't know Lexapro could do that.

Hands turn bright red when lower to the body.

I have the same question as dnfuss. You say that your morning insulin was 120 and evening was 90. That is astronomical insulin. Do you mean your glucose is 120 in the morning?

Study Finds Increased Risk of CVD from TRT

Good point. This relative risk shannannigans is how they sell statins. It's very dishonest.

Issues with Testosterone Cream -- anyone else?

That's impressive that that doctor goes the extra step to ensure quality. You like to see a practitioner go the extra mile for his clients. I use Defy. I would not be surprised if they require this as well. I have had good luck with both Empower and Hallendale creams. Both creams perform...

Yes, both of them improved. And by quite a bit.

Issues with Testosterone Cream -- anyone else?

Sure. I started on injections at various doses and various schedules, 1x per week, 2x per week, 3x, even daily. I always felt inconsistent. Some days fatigued and no libido. Some days raging libido and a feeling of being too amped up, coupled with insomnia. I also do not aromatize very...

Issues with Testosterone Cream -- anyone else?

I think that is true. The reason I don't know for sure is that there is nothing on the package that says how much a "click" is. A couple of years ago I called Empower to ask. Pretty sure that 50mg is what he told me.

Metformin Blocks Benefits of Aerobic Exercise on Insulin Sensitivity and VO2 max

I am following the metformin controversy very closely. Do have any updates on your Met usage Nelson? I WAS considering asking my doctor for it but held off until I heard more about it.

Issues with Testosterone Cream -- anyone else?

Sure. I inject 24mg T Cypionate on M,W,F. PLUS 25 units of HCG on Mon and Fri. On a daily basis I use 1 click on the scrotum in the morning and 1 click on my forearms in the evening.

Study Finds Increased Risk of CVD from TRT

Very good writeup my friend. I agree with you. I enjoyed your answer, although, what I was asking about is the meaning of this specific language... Compared with nonuse, current use of TRT was associated with an increased risk of the composite outcome (HR 1.21; 95% CI, 1.00-1.46). Does HR...

    My Vitamin Stack, Any Feedback?

Yeah I'm really tempted to pick some up. I already take some of the ingredients individually. Their mix would make it a lot more convenient. Plus it has some other stuff that I do not currently take that look to be useful. Thanks for the tip.

Study Finds Increased Risk of CVD from TRT

Compared with nonuse, current use of TRT was associated with an increased risk of the composite outcome (HR 1.21; 95% CI, 1.00-1.46). Is this trying to tell me that TRT users had a 21% higher chance of adverse outcomes than non users?

Issues with Testosterone Cream -- anyone else?

FWIW, I do best on a combination protocol of injections 3x/week combined with daily cream application. I feel better and my sex life is better on the combo rather than on cream or injections separately.

Sounds good but kinda pricey. $30 on Amazon for a 20 serving container.

Dr. David Diamond: Exposing the cholesterol myth

Sorry it took so long to reply @JimBob. I went very low carb starting 1/1/2019. I eat less than 50 total grams carb / day. On a net carb basis it is usually 35 or less. Many days I am at 30 grams of net carb. The low carb diet has been a real pain in the rear to get right. My physical...

Elevated DHT levels...prostate...@Dr Justin Saya MD

Nice find @JimBob. Conventional wisdom has it that exogenous T will grow your prostate. And doubly so for scrotal application. Which always struck me as odd, since we have higher T when we are young, yet BPH happens when we get older and our T levels go down. If high T caused BPH, teenagers...

Dr. David Diamond: Exposing the cholesterol myth

@Moose, Have you even done an oral glucose tolerance test? Everything about your numbers looks good, except that you could have insulin resistance. I am your age and have 8% body fat. Exersize well, good diet, my HDL is 112, LDL is 76, Tri's 48. BP is 117/76. Perfect right? Except I have...

Lectins in food and Thyroid replacement?

Lectins are thought to increase one's susceptibility to auto-immune diseases. Lectins can contribute to leaky gut, which lets lectins into the blood stream. The body's immune system then gets confused by the lectins and starts attacking its own tissues and then you get auto immune issues. or...

    Testosterone Decreased by Low-Fat Diets

How do we know whether it was the low fat or the restricted calories that was causing the lower T? I would bet that it was the lowered calorie intake rather than the lowered fat that causes the drop in T.

Any experience with compounded T3/T4 from Empower Pharmacy?

Thanks Neil. It's surprising to me that we can get Thyro-Gold and Thyroid-S over the counter and it is just like taking Armor. But there you have it.

Oh, I didn't realize that Amazon sold the Kirkland brand. Good to know. Thanks for the info my friend.
