Do changes in body weight affect dose response?

Not sure if i have that or not. I do know that my ALP & ALT are well within range. My gamma-gt is raised, but it has been for a few years now. I showed my gp that result, he said i shouldn't worry as it wasn't that bad (the test a few weeks ago was at 79 U/L with a range of 8 - 61 It was a bit...

Do changes in body weight affect dose response?

Thanks Cat. Well as you mentioned, i'm not expecting any real withdrawals if i drop dosage slowly. And i'm not sure it'll affect much (subjectively) if i settle on a fairly low dose either - to be honest, even at low natural levels i didn't have low libido etc. I went on, simply because i'd...

Do changes in body weight affect dose response?

Thanks for replying Cataceous. I was just a bit puzzled why markers had gone up over 6 months at the same dose (96mg a week split 48/48). The only two things that had changed were my bodyweight, and the vial. Regardless, i reduced Wednesday's dose by 6mg (each mark on the syringe would be 6mg)...

Do changes in body weight affect dose response?

Thanks Vince. I've been down the rabbit hole of reading about what is and what's not a safe hct level today, and i'm not sure i'm any clearer as opinions seem to vary so much. My platelets were mid range though, and apparently that's good as it's all tied in with hct risk? So you think my trough...

Do changes in body weight affect dose response?

I feel just fine - great libido, erectile function etc. I just worry that i'll do another blood panel in 6 months, and find myself stuck with a sky high hct. I'm not working with a doctor, and i think our NHS turn people away when trying to donate blood with a hct at 54% and over. I suppose, it...

Do changes in body weight affect dose response?

Hi everyone, I put myself on diy trt last September, 2022. I'm (obviously) using ugl testosterone enanthate 300mg/ml, and i'm using Medichecks here in the UK to monitor bloods. My starting dose last Sept was 120mg per week, split 60mg Sun AM / 60mg Wed PM Bloods taken 8 weeks in, trough...

The Salt Fix Book Highlights: Salt, Healthy Blood Pressure Levels, and Libido

Salt's great for you. I used to get cramps in my calfs, quads, and abs regularly. Since upping my salt intake (iodized), i virtually never get cramps. It also increases my energy and physical performance.

How a choline nutrient affects our brain and nervous system?

Reading this has just reminded me i've got a bag of DMAE (choline precursor) in my garage. Never realised (till i just read it) that DMAE is a free radical scavenger -...

Levels TT / FT / SHBG before starting TRT

So it sounds like you're in the U.K if you're going through Dr Stevens, and your readings were between 12 and 14 nmol/l? I'm also in the U.K, early 50's. For several years, my total testosterone was coming back at an average 8 nmol/l, so approx 230 ng/dl. I put myself on diy trt last year in...

    Hip Replacement Surgery Experiences

Good luck! You're doing better than i am - i saw my (future) surgeon for the first time yesterday. I had seen the triage service in March who said i had to try and lose 9kg before my appointment with him, as my bmi was above the limit for surgery. Well i failed, but i did shift 6kg so thought he...

Why? I'm not taking it at the moment as i'm not currently working, but i did use it daily for a few years.

After 8 weeks on TRT - do these numbers look ok?

I've just had a quick look at the syringes i've got, and actually it won't be any trouble measuring smaller amounts as each 0.1ml mark is further divided by 5 so each mark would be 6mg test, making it fairly easy to get 48 or 54mg per shot. Regarding my aromatase levels - i do indeed have a lot...

After 8 weeks on TRT - do these numbers look ok?

I'll be honest, i've noticed very little at all, no mentally or physically. This could be though because i'm currently spending my days sat at home doing very little (I lost my job the same day i decided to put myself on trt. Also, i'm waiting for the NHS to give me a double hip replacement...

After 8 weeks on TRT - do these numbers look ok?

Thanks, that's what i was thinking too. It's a bit tricky measuring as the concentration of test-e i have is 300 mg/ml (so it was easy measuring 60mg as it's 0.2 on the syringe). I think if i draw up a bit less than 0.2 then i'll be getting somewhere around 50mg per shot. I'll try that, thanks...

After 8 weeks on TRT - do these numbers look ok?

So after years of having private blood tests and trying to improve my levels naturally, i finally took the plunge just over 8 weeks ago and started on self prescribed replacement (i know, not the best way to go about things but i'm on it now). My last blood draw done back in June came back at...

    Hip Replacement Surgery Experiences

Thanks Nelson, some great tips there i'll definitely look into the raised toilet seat (it's a struggle at the moment for me anyhow). I guess slow and steady would be the main takeaway from the experiences i've read here and elsewhere. I was reading about a guy earlier who had a replacement and...

    Hip Replacement Surgery Experiences

Glad to hear you're doing well, it sounds like it's been a success for you so that's great. And yes, i'll definitely keep this thread updated with my treatment, whatever that ends up being. I was hoping there'd be a point in the future where i could get under a bar and do squats again. I'm not...

    Hip Replacement Surgery Experiences

@Nelson Vergel and @Cataceous - just wondering how you two are both doing with your hip surgery recoveries now some time's passed. At the end of September i got results back from an xray on my hips. Wasn't good news, report said "advanced hip osteoarthritis bilaterally", and a few other terms...

    Hip Replacement Surgery Experiences

Hi Cataceous, glad to hear your recovery's going well. I'm hoping that my x-ray won't show that i need surgery and that my symptoms come from my back instead, but the more i read about hip osteoarthritis the more it seems that's what i've got. And it's not that the surgery itself is worrying me...

    Hip Replacement Surgery Experiences

How is your recovery going Cataceous? I've been pretty much out of action gym wise for the last 18 months due to lower back and hip pain. I'm in the UK, so going through the NHS for treatment (NHS is very, very slow, and it took a year to even get to see a physio). I'm waiting an the results...

Testosterone Blood Test Results - Time of Day?

Ok, well all i'll say is that finger prick tests are notoriously hit or miss. I'd get another venous test if i were you, i suspect your 2nd result was more accurate

Testosterone Blood Test Results - Time of Day?

Were either of these tests done via finger prick? By the way, even with your reading of just over 9 nmol/l, the nhs won't consider treatment

    Information about Proviron

I'll have to do a bit more digging as it's been a while since i read the study that led me to the conclusion proviron affects the gonads. I also realise though that i could be wrong blaming it for my own drop in testosrerone - there is of course a chance that i just developed low testosterone...

    Information about Proviron

Just quickly, because i'm at work - https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/6431212/ It would seem that if you're starting off with a high testosterone level, it's not so problematic. But it reduced total testosterone in all subjects

    Information about Proviron

Hi again. I was taking 25mg, monday to friday for probably 5 or 6 months before i started getting symptoms (dry joints). No steroids or trt, just low dose clomid therapy. I guess it could be coincidence, but at the time (end of 2017), i researched further into proviron and found a study that...
