Restart after 14 months on TRT?

As Coastwatcher stated, there's so many variables. I stopped trt after a couple years of use. My levels went back to pretty much exactly where they were pre trt. I didn't have the sub baseline levels many guy's fear.

Meta-analysis Finds TRT Effective for ED

For me, I've found when I reduce pornography and cut back on masturbation, it has a significant effect on my ability to achieve and maintain an erection.

    Broken Bones - Vitamin D

Yes, that's what I read, and certainly something to be careful with when supplementing. Since he's at an ideal level with both calcium and K, the wife and I elected to supplement with D only. Had a good conversation with a young 20 something salesperson at the health food store who was smart...

    Broken Bones - Vitamin D

Great info guys. Much appreciated. Vince - I was able to watch most of the video this morning and they had some interesting stuff there as well. I'd like to rule out any thyroid issues as well with his next labs. Boron, parathyroid, Vit D, K and calcium. Several things to consider. Re-Ride -...

    Broken Bones - Vitamin D

I/labs say calcium and K are optimal, not normal. The question's about toxicity issues relating to excess vitamin D. No additional labs are needed.

    Broken Bones - Vitamin D

Vince - You're right. I neglected to mention Vitamin K. We checked it and it was at optimal levels. CoastWatcher - The interesting thing is, we're in Arizona and I'm told low Vitamin D is prevalent in Phoenix. Dermatologist told me it's because people are more concerned with skin cancer and...

    Broken Bones - Vitamin D

Guys, My son (13 years old) is pretty active in sports and has broken 4 bones over the years. Blood showed calcium at optimal levels, but Vitamin D was at 9 ng/ml (30 - 100). After 6 weeks of 3,000 iu daily of Vitamin D, we got his levels up to 36 ng/ml (30 - 100). Really disappointed with the...

    Which Protocol?

Vince - I'm lucky in the sense that I seem to feel pretty good and draw good numbers off what most would consider to be a small dose. I had some rather significant health issues in the past (before TRT), and recall the doc looking at my labs and commenting that 'whatever meds' I take, I'd likely...

    Which Protocol?

You hear so much about HCG and testicular size. I've been taking cyptionate (without HCG), for almost 4 years and I've never experienced any noticable shrinkage. My balls are as full after nearly 4 years as they were when I started. I've been taking HCG for only a couple weeks and the only thing...

    Subcutaneous Administration of Testosterone

I've never been a fan of Sub-Q and have injected in the shoulders for years. I'm doing twice a week, guys who are injecting daily may have a different spin on it due to the frequency of their injections.

    Sleep on TRT?

I did the same thing, took 5 mg two nights, then cut it twice...down to 1.25 mg. I'll take that or .625 mg with good results.

    Sleep on TRT?

Sleep quality can be casued by so many things. I had terrible insomnia when stating TRT. I had so much energy all the time. Once I'd fall asleep, I'd wake up a couple hours later wide awake. I too don't nap. Cortisol & thyroid were both fine. It was the norm for me to get 5 hours of sleep each...

    Low Dose Anastrozole

FeelingLost - Is the .125 mg tablet big enough to cut in half for a fairly accurate .0625?

    Low Dose Anastrozole

Compounding pharmacy sales guy said to have the doc send script for .0625 mg and they can get me 1/16 mg Anastrozole in capsule form. Has anyone any experience with a pharmacy creating a dose this low? Got the feeling he was just telling me what I want to hear.

What percentage men on TRT uses an AI?

FeelingLost - That's my experience too. I much prefer the feeling at 19 vs 45 without the AI (I've felt them both over the years). You're at .125 mg every other day, which is 1/8th mg every other day. A low dose AI has made all the difference for me. I always caution guys that this is a powerful...

What percentage men on TRT uses an AI?

It's something how we report different results with similar protocols. I take 1/8th mg, twice a week, and my E2 site in the low 20's by sensative assay. I feel great. My penis gets hard, I'm calm/clear headed, and my body is less soft while taking a low dose AI.

Testosterone cypionate- when levels peak ?

I'd guess 24 hours for me. I feel it damn near right away.

My mental sharpness is now quite astounding.

lexer - I've experienced the same thing with low dose injections. I'm down to 100mg (50mg twice weekly), and have felt better with each decreasing dose. I'm debating if I want to do 30mg three times a week or 45mg twice a week. Needless to say, I'm a big fan of low dose injections.

    Vitamin D

Matt - he recommended a dose of 1,000 iu vitamin D. That's not even likely to get my son near the bottom of the vitamin D range. The wife and I are going to talk about it tonight and will make a decision. In the end all will be well.

    Vitamin D

Good post Vince! Very informative. I'm embarrassed to say I took my son to the orthopedic doc today who said vitamin K and calcium have nothing do with bone strength. And even if levels are low, he wouldn't need supplementation. I was waiting for him to say he was joking.

    Vitamin D

I'm not a fan of the body scans, but with 4 broken bones (3 of the 4 on hits most would consider minor), we decided to do it. Sounds like most agree to supplement vitamin D & K, but not calcium.

    Vitamin D

Re-Ride - We were concerned with accuracy and heard about the challenges with pelvic scans. The tech said with kids his age, they scan the entire body. That was encouraging to hear. FOX1 - Accrete D3 with both D and calcium, sounds like what he needs. 2 years for bones to feel the effects of a...

    Vitamin D

Good stuff guys. Wife took call from Doc yesterday who went over the blood work. I'll have copy of labs tomorrow and will check out the calcium levels. She said doc was most concerned about the Vit D. Agreed Matt Leiser, D increases absorption of calcium. Interested to see what his levels are.

    Vitamin D

I've got a 13 yesr old son who's pretty active in sports. He's a bigger kid in both height and weight, but he's broken 4 bones already playing sports. We had a bone density test and doc said all was normal, blood showed vitamin D at a very low 12 ng/ml. I started him on 5,000 iu's daily. My...

Can someone be low T with natural levels in the low 600's?

600's for TT isn't bad. Most guys here have baseline levels far lower. FT is within range, but hardly optimal. Shbg is always the wildcard. How old are you? Your symptoms are consistemt with your lower FT and higher shbg.
