So who is happy with TRT? Who wish they never started?

Got it. Yes, you have to scratch seafood. You know how it is with us outliers; we have to be our own doctors, even if we have a good doctor! We're 'A riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma' to paraphrase a description used by Winston Churchill. Keep plugging away. And yes, maybe...

So who is happy with TRT? Who wish they never started?

About 12 years ago I was eating salmon almost everyday and using olive oil on my salads, pasta, as well as to fry and sautee. Previously, my TT was in the 300s. After a year of eating like this, had labs pulled. My lipid panel had greatly improved and TT had gone from 325 to 668. Free T went...

So who is happy with TRT? Who wish they never started?

Theoretically or perhaps, actually, supplemental pregnenolone 'might' improve the conversion of cholesterol into androgens, but we can't control the steroid pathways. Maybe just eat more salmon and olive oil.

TRT for Elderly (80 years & up)

Excellent! You're an inspiration for those of us in our 60s or 70s. I'm 73. What's your TRT protocol? Sexually active? If so, ancillaries; PDE5, Trimix or PT-141? Thank you.

    What's your T dosage/protocol? Thanks.

That's beautiful, man! You and your wife did a great job pulling him out of the hole he was in.

    Zero libido

This is a most informative abstract. Thanks for posting it. Though a portion of exogenous T aromatizes, in the studies, both with mice and humans, supplemental estradiol was added to the protocols. When we have labs drawn and E2 is measured, what's reflected in serum, I presume, doesn't...

1st labs on TRT- why so low?

That was my experience with subq several years ago. Labs looked great but for all it mattered I could have been injecting sterile water and this was rx test enanthate.

    Dr. Thierry Hertoghe

Thank you for the details of what you were experiencing from PT-141 and your response to ECT. I have treatment resistant bipolar/mixed state, non-restorative sleep & CPTSD. Anhedonia is ever present in my life. My psychiatrist suggested ECT but as I'm caring for my wife, who is into her 17th...

So who is happy with TRT? Who wish they never started?

On the surface that sounds contradictory. You 'felt amazing' but 'got bored and frustrated chasing blood work'. If you felt amazing, what were you seeking by doing more blood work? The 'bored' part I don't understand. How do you feel & function since you've been off T, etc., for about...

My latest labs... Any Guesses on what my Peak TT is?

Agree. Men worry or their doctors automatically prescribe an ai because the prevailing advice or thought is that E2 'should' be between 20 and 30 pg, but the contrarian school, led by Dr. Rouzier and the doctors who trained with him, says ignore it or even supplement it. I don't believe...

My latest labs... Any Guesses on what my Peak TT is?

IIRC, between 200 to 300 points higher than trough. If you want something more precise, as @Systemlord said, 12 to 18 hours post injection, but to what purpose? It always comes back to the question of how you're feeling and functioning, which includes sexual function. Numbers only serve a...

Low T, Low SHBG, finally found culprit but not solution

I know this isn't related to what you're dealing with but I read of a 46 y.o. patient on test undecanoate with Type 2 diabetes, hyperlipidemia, high blood pressure, overweight and erectile dysfunction. Over the course of three years all his symptoms resolved. I saw a reference to a patient...

Just diagnosed with a inguinal Hernia advice ?

There is a surgical practice in Miami that specializes in hernias. Don't know the name but had a therapist who went down there. Out-patient, and successful surgery.

Just diagnosed with a inguinal Hernia advice ?

Had surgery 14 years ago. My surgeon recommended traditional open surgery since minimally invasive required gas. But in 12/2021 had umbilical hernia repair via robotic surgery which required inhaled anesthetic, along with IV meds. Did fine.

New Blood Work - Can someone review it and tell my why im impotent -Updated with bloodwork

Damn man, I'm 73, with severe mental illness and caregiver to my wife who has Alzheimer's, who gave up on sex many years ago! Didn't stop me from going on testosterone when my blood test showed me borderline low. I have a great urologist. As for Trimix, which I've discussed with him, there...

PT - 141 (Bremelanotide) for Improved Sex Drive (Libido) and Erections

This comes from my a conversation with my urologist: tachyphylaxis. A condition where a drug essentially stops working, sometimes quickly. It's not the same as tolerance. You can't overcome the problem by taking a higher dose. Maybe that's what you're experiencing. Just a guess. See what...

Tired of these weak erections on TRT. Can't seem to find a solutions after 4 years.

For some of us, that's the oddity of dosing/frequency. It can seem(or perhaps, in fact) to be a moving target. You think you've found a protocol that works, then it either becomes less effective or stops working altogether and you're back to square one. :( As @bixt has posted, maybe, again...

Tired of these weak erections on TRT. Can't seem to find a solutions after 4 years.

Read through this thread. I've been doing 30 mg 3X weekly for a couple of months. For me, it seems to have dampened my libido and daily night time erection. Previously, before stopping T because I was frustrated(years of frustration), I was doing 100 mg IM E5D for several months and felt...

    Empower Testosterone Troches

It wasn't my intent to derail your post or the thread. Even on long time testosterone injections my sexual function is more miss than hit and the messed up marriage has contributed to the damage. Nevertheless, interested in men who try different injection protocols or different forms of...

    Wish me luck

Well, you're on the road to recovery and yes, it's not necessarily smooth or comfortable. I say that as someone who had major abdominal surgery in December, 2021. I found being philosophical helped me, as I knew my discomfort would gradually diminish and then disappear. Can't tolerate pain...

    Empower Testosterone Troches

More an aside to your comments. Relationships/marriage aren't always smooth. For years I thought if I could one woman to love, how much better my life would be, then, when I wasn't looking, I met the woman who would become my gf, then, my wife, after several years of living together. There...

    Dumb question regarding ejaculation

Correct; Botox injected into the penis. I researched it, too. Looks pricey, as are P shots and insurance likely won't cover them, I guess. I'd rather try Bimix or Trimix. He offered to prescribe PT-141 from Empower, though I know it can be purchased from peptide companies for about half...

    DHEA + AI only protocol?

There's nothing wrong with being your own lab rat, LOL, as long as you do your homework and take it slow. As for my experience with my late endocrinologist, he certainly had a curious mind. He understood things in a different way than other doctors. This was in 1989. I guess the stim test...
