New here, hello. Love feedback from you Pros.

Welcome to EM! Yeah, some of those medications are probably no doubt contributing to hypogonadism. LH isn't tanked, but at 3.5mIU/ml it isn't optimal either. Even at 3.5, I would think Total Test Serum would be higher than 196ng/dl, but it all depends. It might not hurt to also get a testicular...

Looking for a good thyroid forum

Rhino, there's a lot going on, and some great comments from the community! With the test 'blast' in the time frame of these labs, it definitely raises a few thoughts with wondering how that also could impact other labs (?). Just to confirm, was it only those compounds or was anything else in...

psa increase by 2.5 x in my 12 months on TRT...should I freak out ?

You had mentioned that HCG gives you anxiety? I don't know if I've ever heard that before from anyone else, but I'm curious to know more of what could have caused that??

Cortisol Saliva Test Timing With Injections

OK, good, run them and let us know the results. I've used ZRT in the past, they're solid! Sometimes, when there is a higher demand on cortisol, it can tend to create other imbalances, one being DHEA (this gets a bit into other areas like pregnenolone, but that's another discussion) ... As your...

What's my best choice pellets or injections?

I don't ever read too many happy stories about pellets, just saying ... Don't fear the needle too much. You can just as easily go with a 29g or 31g x 5/16" insulin pen, and inject SubQ in the belly area. Takes a minute or so to load the syringe, but it's next to nothing as far as injecting...

Cortisol Saliva Test Timing With Injections

At 2x per week, your testosterone should be pretty balanced, and your adrenal circadian profile should be pretty consistent. If you have the kit, I would just run it tomorrow, or whatever day this week permitting you can provide the saliva samples at the scheduled times that are required? Is...

    A new noob

If that was your lab results at baseline, before TRT, then the diagnosis should have been Secondary Hypo. Primary would indicate a surge of LH, usually over the reference range, due to lack of endogenous production from the testes/leydigs. It makes sense though that you are responding to HCG.

GaWd, just for discussion sake, what was your LH & FSH results when you were diagnosed with P-hypo?

TSH Tests Low after taking Nature-Throid

Bingo, x2!!! Antisosa, give Dr. Saya's advise some consideration. As other areas of your endocrine system improve, and other noticeable positive changes transpire, it will just put you in a position of having to cover it up. You might be surprised that he could have an open-mind, and if he's...

    New Iron Labs

At a glance, the iron panel isn't all that bad ... If you brought your iron serum up about another 25 to 40 points, it would be just about optimal for thyroid hormone purposes, with getting hormone transported to the cells. However, as you have already broached upon, cortisol and the adrenals...

Bingo! It's an analog mimic, but will never be discovered on any serum labs.

    Consistent high hematocrit, low ferritin

Agree with VC!! Might even make that 2g of Vitamin C, and me personally, I have had good luck with slow release elemental iron.

    New Thyroid numbers

Pooling is the result of T3 not getting transported effectively into the body and utilized into the cells. Several variables need to be in play, primarily iron, ferritin, cortisol, and in some respects D3, magnesium and other electrolytes, in order for T3 to be fully effective. The body will...

What blood work to get for premenopausal women

In addition to CW's labs, have a complete thyroid panel pulled ... TSH, Free T4, Free T3, Reverse T3 & Antibodies (TPO & TgAb), along with iron serum, TIBC, & ferritin. Peri/ post menopausal conditions can present a decline in progesterone, which in turn can lead to estrogen dominance. It's...

    New Thyroid numbers

Vince, overall how do you feel. The FT3 & FT4 values are a bit imbalanced, which would usually indicate pooling (unless taking Cytomel, etc.). However, your RT3/FT3 ratio is good ... Then again, the ferritin result would also usually indicate a problem with FT3? So it's kind of mixed, but do you...

    Very low progesterone mid-30's female

Leading up to the decline of progesterone, was there any changes with her monthly cycle (amount, duration, anything)? Do you have the ranges of the E2 lab, and what was the timing of the lab in relation to her cycle? Do you know if early peri/menopause is inherit when talking with mom and/or if...

    Thyroid labs

As we've discussed prior, 2.8 might/could be a bit low at 2 grains, but would like to know where your Free T4 sits, Reverse T3, and just for grins how does TSH reflect with these labs? Agree, take labs prior to meds. Splitting between morning and afternoon can indeed work in favor with T3 half...

    Failing to Finish

As rat noted, progesterone and/or prolactin imbalances can sometimes be the culprit with that. Years back, my prolactin was a little high, and closing the deal was quite difficult. A little cabergoline (dopamine agonist) got that situated real quick.

    Blackhawk's journey with TRT

As you noted, no Reverse T3 on this round. I looked at your previous labs with RT3, and your FT3/RT3 ratio was 11.8. That's a pretty good sign that something is going on, as RT3 demand (at least at that point) was in excess, compared to the amount of T4 in your system, and of course based on the...

Can an 1150 Total T crash your libido?

My bad, on your opening post, I mistakenly took your Total Serum as 1,150 and Free Test at 400. Sorry for burning through it fast! Yeah at 400ng/dl and 8 Free test, you're at 2%.

My Blood Work. Feeling symptoms of low t for awhile! don't know whats wrong

TSH is the most unreliable marker out there. T4 is essentially the reserves to support T3, and Free T3 is the measurement that's unbound, and able to work at the cells. However, Free T3 (FT3) can be elevated, but still not effective. This is usually due to iron or cortisol imbalances, so thus...
