Can Dr Saya be contacted directly somehow?

Most Drs require an appointment to ask them a private question.

    Defy Medical Question

You can always give them a call to talk to them instead of waiting for them to contact you. That's what I did.

Did I get the correct E2 test?

Nope. That'd be the standard test. Another way to know is by how long it takes to get the results. The sensitive test will take almost a week.

Clomid and its estrogenic effect different than Testosterone?

    Initial Blood work for Defy

You'll have to check if your insurance covers an out of state out of network physicians lab prescription. You'll want to make sure, because if they don't, the lab will bill you directly. I think Defy will require that you pre pay for your initial consult before sending you the prescription...

Is this the sensitive e2 test?

I doubt it. Also I'm not sure what year that typo was supposed to be.

    Newb to the forum

559 is a pretty decent level, but is a small part of the puzzle. E2 and SHBG would be the most important to have tested, prolactin as well, possibly DHT also. All of those hormones can cause symptoms if they're not balanced in spite of a 559 total testosterone. I am a defy patient so I know...

Possible adrenal fatigue and high cortisol, but want to work out

You can order labs from them at any time, just ask. Do you pay for labs or do you get the insurance prescriptions?

    Crashed E2 update

Have you stopped the AI? I don't see any mention of stopping it, just that you stopped for 3 weeks and then started AI again(without testing or mention of any high E2 symptoms). I think this is a case of AI cravings again.

    New Defy patient

Yeah labcorp has been taking forever for results for me too, call them and see if they're back, or send an email. That's what I do.

    New Defy patient

When did you have your labs drawn? If you're waiting on results there isn't much they can do, that just takes time unfortunately.

Oh, lol, the way you explained your story made it seem as if you did. "I decided" and no mention of a doctor or anything, so yeah was a bit confusing.

    New to Anastrozole

You do not have the sensitive Estradiol test, that's the standard test based on the range. When were these taken relative to injection? Did you have SHBG tested?
  15. J

    Just got my Labs back.....

We need more context, age, symptoms, on treatment or not(I assume you're not) and if you're taking any medications. What was total testosterone? Did you have Estradiol tested?

You need to see a urologist. Forget libido, get your health taken care of first.

Recent Urologist Visit - I know I should not be surprised

It's insane how little is known about male hormones, or really, hormones in general. I guess in the grand scheme of things the average doctor sees, this is not that serious. I figure the average patient is Type II diabetic, HTN, morbidly obese and with at least another major illness. Not to...

There's a saying: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" and this applies to TRT. So many guys go chasing numbers, and it almost always ends in misery. If you're feeling good from TRT, that's all it's going to give you, it's not a recreational drug where more = feeling better.

Can low-dose TRT preserve some LH/FSH?

I think you just have an under performing testicle. You're feeling pretty good, and managing without TRT, although with your age I don't think it's as big of a deal if you just wanna start. Just my opinion though.

E2 labs Quest vs Labcorp Insanely different results!

You probably had 100% coverage. I doubt your insurer hasn't defined what preventative labs are.

E2 labs Quest vs Labcorp Insanely different results!

You're not going to get them covered as preventative wellness.

E2 labs Quest vs Labcorp Insanely different results!

Remember that these hormones are found in billionths or trillionths of gram in blood. These are extremely small concentrations so the fact that we can even measure them is impressive. I've had other errors even made a thread with them...

Blocking Androgen Receptors in the Hypothalamus?

I don't see how it'd be better than just using hCG. It's an interesting theoretical thought but has little clinical benefit over just using hCG, which is an LH receptor agonist achieving the same result as endogenous LH. Keep in mind the androgen receptor isn't even suspected to be totally...

E2 labs Quest vs Labcorp Insanely different results!

Call your insurance company and ask them which lab they cover. I wouldn't rely on a doctor who has multiple patients with multiple insurance companies to keep up with which company covers which lab. If he's wrong, you're the one stuck with a $1,000 bill you can do absolutely nothing about...

    LOW SHBG increasing

Well Clomid has a known SHBG increasing property, due to its estrogenic effects. This theory applied to guys not on any form of hormonal medication including Clomid. Think of a guy with uncontrolled type 2 diabetes, hypercholesterolemia, and obesity. Those are known to decrease SHBG...

Blocking Androgen Receptors in the Hypothalamus?

Clomid blocks E2 from binding to receptors in the hypothalamus and pituitary, but it does NOT overcome the suppression of TRT. Plus, anything that blocks androgen receptors in the brain will also probably block the benefits of TRT.
  28. J

    LOW SHBG increasing

SHBG can often be a sign of a person's health. I've spoken with a nurse practitioner that suspects SHBG regulation is the immune system's way of altering hormonal status, for example starvation drastically increases it, and most inflammatory diseases lower it significantly. Basically by...

E2 labs Quest vs Labcorp Insanely different results!

How is TRT managing your other hypogonadal symptoms? Personally I suspect the opiate having the strongest impact on your libido then the anastrozole induced menopause.
