    LabCorp Attitude

Did you confront them about their attitude? They were suggesting that you are an illegal steroid user and Defy is the pusher. Ignorance can only be corrected when it is confronted. I wouldn't let them get by with it. I'd complain to their HDQTRS, too. They need to know what their employees are...

    Naringin supplement to lower hematocrit

I got my lab report today after 3 months of taking 500 mg of Metformin twice a day and eating half a grapefruit or taking Narigin. My HCT is exactly the same as 4 months ago - 52.7. The good news is that this is the first time it has not gone up. Also, I was a bit dehydrated the day I had blood...

Any pointers for my first consult with dr saya and defy medical?

Write down questions as already advised. Even ones you may think are "dumb." Dr. Saya was wonderful in my consults with him. Not rushed, very thorough and humorous. Relax and enjoy the conversation and learning time with him.

    Add Metformin to TRT

Dr. Saya did say that the high altitude plays a role in increased HCT. That's one reason why he has cut me some slack on blood donations.

    Add Metformin to TRT

Having blood work done for Defy this week. Will see where the hematocrit is at and then decide if I should continue it or not after consult. If the Metformin is working, maybe the tired feeling could be from lowered hematocrit??? I have lived at a mile high for 34 yrs. so my hemtocrit is at...

Dr says he cannot prescribe cialis to compounding pharmacy

He doesn't get to decide where you fill your prescription. You do. Unless he wants to pay for it. The only time I'vd been asked is when they offer to send it electronically. I still get to make the choice.

    Cancer Thoughts

Doesn't the Doctor who discovered the PSA test now say that it is pretty much useless? Too many false positives, alot of over treatment and causing a lot of needless anxiety and fear.

Think I may have screwed up.

You may have broken the airtight seal allowing air into the bottle? Leave the bottle inverted for a while to see if any T is dripping out.

    Naringin supplement to lower hematocrit

Don't have #s with me, but my HCT was at the top of the upper range. I am phobic of blood donations. Never done it and probaly never will. The blood work every 3 months to floow the HCT has become super expensive - at least $1000/year.

I tried 25ga - 1/2" and I was sore for week or I bled. Maybe 27 ga or smaller would work better? I am currently using 29ga - 5/16"

    Metformin

I started Metformin this month in hopes of lowering my HCT. I take 250mg twice a day. I think it's working because I don't feel the effects of HBP like I did before - no flushed face, heart pounding or headaches. I'm also eating half a grapefruit each morning. My next labs in a couple months...

Just had my consult with Jill from Defy. My A1c test shows that I in the range of prescribing Metaformin. She will pass the info on to Dr. Saya and it will be up to him. If approved, I'm anxious to see if it will lower my hematocrit.
