Coronavirus COVID-19 Update: Hydroxychloroquine and Other Treatments

He's more like an acquaintance that I've gotten to know through business and see infrequently. I would not bet my life on his opinion, hence my reluctance to try it. However I've been researching a bit and it seems like it may have some merit when dosed in very small amounts. I'm thinking its...

Coronavirus COVID-19 Update: Hydroxychloroquine and Other Treatments

A friend sent me this article on CLO2 and links on where to buy it and how to dose it. He swears by it, claiming its effective against COVID and many other pathogens. I am very hesitant to try it. Does anyone have any experience with this?

President Trump is taking one tab of hydroxychloroquine and zinc per day.

I hope this thread doesn't get locked, although I expect it will now that the name calling has begun. I find it amazing how we are all so dug in on one side or the other. When the discussion is about HRT we all are very thoughtful and helpful. But with anything political the conversation...

President Trump is taking one tab of hydroxychloroquine and zinc per day.

Unfortunately it seems as though TDS is inhibiting a rational discussion on HCQ. In hindsight it would probably have been better if Trump never mentioned it.

Does everyone suffer when lowering dose?

When I make dose changes I do it in small increments, no more than 5-10 mg every 2-3 weeks. It will obviously take longer to reach a point where you can get accurate lab work, but it has helped me avoid the issues described above. For me large dose changes wreck my sleep.

Weird response on labs after switching to daily injections

That has been my experience as well. And a side benefit is that I am building up a nice stockpile of T-cyp since I'm using less than prescribed yet achieving good lab numbers - and I don't feel any different at the lower doses.

I had been using the Indian brands. About a month ago I bought a batch from Empower. I haven't noticed any difference. Going forward I will go the least expensive route.

Modafinil specifically used for shift work sleep disorder [shift workers]

I worry about that too. But after 20 yrs (+/-) I don't have any issues that I'm aware of. And at times my work is mind numbing, so for me it's been extremely helpful.

Modafinil specifically used for shift work sleep disorder [shift workers]

You asked me if it had any effect on my heart rate or blood pressure. It does not. It may for others, but not me.

Modafinil specifically used for shift work sleep disorder [shift workers]

Agree completely. I've been using it for many years and no sides at all. I find that I get more 'bang for the buck' if I take it on an empty stomach. Over time you will build a tolerance with regular usage. I try to lay off it as often as possible, as my workload permits. That seems to help...

Got a Tadalafil Rx and holy cow

Welp, you caused me to spend more money. I've been using the Indian brand, but because of your post I went and bought a batch of the U.S. stuff. I've been using the Indian brand for a while (5 mg/day) and expected it to lower my blood pressure a bit - I have mild hypertension that is well...

    Considering a local TRT doctor

Like anything else in life, its a trade-off. My experience with a local TRT doc, and the reason I left and chose Telemedicine, is while the local doctor may be great, their practice is usually focused on something else (urology, etc). So you may show up for an appointment with the doctor after...

I've been struggling to understand the treatment protocols of TRT clinics, and I'm talking about the responsible, knowledgeable doctors like yourself. If someone comes to you with TT at 1000, you will deny TRT treatment (as I assume you should). However if someone comes to you with TT at 200...

can cytomel by itself be used to treat hypothyroidism

A friend is a commercial pilot who has to get a medical certificate every 2 years because he's over 40 yrs old. Within the last year he realized he's hypothyroid and was put on cytomel. He felt great but his TSH went to almost zero with very low FT4. So his doctor put him on synthroid which...

Best time to inject Test - Evening?

Very interesting - thanks. Do you feel any different with the lower doses of Propionate? In my case, once I started on T-Cyp I felt better physically (thankfully I never had any ED issues before or after TRT). Now when I adjust doses up or down the only thing that changes are my lab values...

Best time to inject Test - Evening?

Every time I read something like this it makes me want to reduce my dosage. I'm already down from 120mg/week to 100mg/week and my trough is still at the top of the range (total and free) as measured with E3.5D injections. So my peak must be blasting through the top of the range. It just...

How normal people get their protein macro?

This has been my personal experience as well. I've worked out regularly since my teen years, both cardio and weights. I'm now in my mid-fifties, and after a year on TRT (100mg/week) I can see my abs for the first time in my life. I joke that I now have a 3-pak. Maybe this year it will become...

Never heard of Phenibut. I've been using Modafinil for many years - but only for work. I have a fairly stressful desk job that often requires hours upon hours of intense concentration on often mind-numbing technical stuff. I never take it on weekends (unless I'm working) and when I get a...

    The usual run around

We never had a health care system. It's a great sick care system especially in the USA, in that if you're dying they will keep you alive. But that's about it unfortunately. This really starts to hit home as we age.
