Anyone had bad experiences with LabCorp?

Thanks. I was actually considering switching to LabCorp since they're still on my insurance lab list because the Quest I go to near Cape Canaveral is always jammed and even with an appointment I still have to wait at least an hour. I used to walk in to LabCorp late in the morning without an...

Anyone had bad experiences with LabCorp?

Maybe they've become too big to handle the volume of specimens they're receiving, which includes COVID tests. Quest has Nichols Lab in California to run hormone assays, along with other specific/special tests and I believe the lab in Chantilly, Virginia, outside of DC, also has a specialty lab...

Anyone had bad experiences with LabCorp?

My Medicare Advantage plan used to only contract with LabCorp. Never had any problems. Used them through Discounted Labs. No problems. LabCorp is larger than Quest and if they're having problems properly processing specimens, doctors will be switching to or back to, Quest.

    How to increase dopamine?

About 6 or 7 years ago when living in Maryland, I was going to a psychiatrist who was also a noted researcher at the NIMH. Since my bipolar illness doesn't respond to treatment and because my main symptom was depression, as well as ED, she offered to prescribe selegiline. I'd read about it but...

    B12 and libido

L-Methylfolate or folinic acid if there are methylation problems(and I'm still not clear on the methylation cycle) or mood problems. From my very basic understanding, some people poorly metabolize folic acid, either from food or from the supplement. I used the methylated form for bipolar and...

Just had the biggest scare of my life (PSA = 10.6)!! Need some advice.

There's an interview on excelmale from @madman, I believe, with Dr. Abraham Morgentaler, urologist/TRT expert at Harvard who is one of the cutting edge doctors in the world, including that testosterone not always contradicted in PCa.

Low Testosterone symptoms. 10 years of finding a solution

I agree with @Cataceous about enhancing or upregulating dopamine. Another possible ancillary is PT-141, which can be purchased online or prescribed by a doctor. Never used it, but it's on my list. Not a dopamine enhancer, but related to dopamine. "PT-141 is a nonselective agonist that binds...

    B12 and libido

I have strong desire but poor/erratic erectile function. Still sex on the brain most of the time. Though I've been taking magnesium and calcium for over a year, I don't know if it contributes to my libido. Vitamin D, which I take, increases dopamine, so that's a factor. I take 2 to 3 grams of...

    Worsening Symptoms, "Dead Penis"

How's your thyroid function, though I know that even people with mood disorders and 'normal' lab values, sometimes respond to thyroid augmentation.

    Histamine, Low Libido and ED

My 'success' with 250 mg, sublingual, lasted one day. One rock hard erection in the evening. After that, my sleep worsened and I became extremely irritable, similar to my experience with arginine. The irritability lasted three days. Scary for me, with bipolar illness. I'm back self-treating...

    B12 and libido

I'm not endorsing them, just mentioning the ones that I've read about. I've no experience with velvet bean or tongkat ali. Both l-citrulline and l-histidine made me quite irritable, as well as worsening my sleep. My opinion, if you decide to experiment, try one, only, and give it a few weeks.

Just had the biggest scare of my life (PSA = 10.6)!! Need some advice.

It does seem like you have/had prostatitis, whether due to infection or localized inflammation. I've had high hsCRP levels, which indicates inflammation and my PSA keeps inching up, too. I also had severe dental problems, including infections, for which the only remedy was to have all my teeth...

    B12 and libido

Excellent to hear that. B12 has a wide ranging impact on hormones, neurotransmitters and endothelial nitric oxide. I know men have talked about taking l-citrulline and/or l-histidine for libido/erectile function, as well supplements that increase dopamine, such as velvet bean/mucuna pruriens...

    B12 and libido

To clarify; Are you cycling on and off of methylcobalamin? I haven't taken any b12 injections(cyanocobalamin) for about three weeks. I believe you're taking Jarrow 5000 mcg, sublingual, IIRC. I think I recounted when, in my early 20's, I'd get a b12 injection from my doctor and my...

I'd say NOW brand. I've used many of their supplements. IMO they produce quality products.

    Effects of zinc on prolactin

I've read p5p, its metabolite, is safer, but still, not to overdo it. On Ray Peat Forum, some people responded better to regular B6 but not to p5p, as well the opposite. They're both inexpensive, so nothing to lose by experimenting.

    Histamine, Low Libido and ED

Histamine has been my bane since I was a child. Seasonal allergies, as well as food sensitivities. But when I began to think of histamine as related to sexual function, I recall when we lived in Maryland. During spring, when the pollen was high, my libido/erectile function went into overdrive...

Is Aveed (Nebido outside the US) Long Acting Testosterone Injection The Answer For Men's Low T?

But if I'm understanding correctly, the FDA isn't allowing it to be titrated at similar dosage to Nebido, despite years of clinical data from outside the US. Approval lite.

Is Aveed (Nebido outside the US) Long Acting Testosterone Injection The Answer For Men's Low T?

I had Testopel, once. It was, for me, covered by insurance. Wasn't the solution, unfortunately. My urologist and I still discuss pellets. I know Nebido has a long history in most of Europe. With all the clinical data, can't understand why the FDA is not giving its full approval. In a...

Is Aveed (Nebido outside the US) Long Acting Testosterone Injection The Answer For Men's Low T?

Though this a thread about Aveed/Nebido, and I'm not trying to hack it, but why is there antipathy to pellet therapy, when the principle behind test undecanoate is similar to pellet implantation? And if one does that off of insurance, or pays extra if covered by insurance, the doctor can place...

1762 Total T after last lab test

Yes. We know that for some men, testosterone, alone, is restorative. I admire your inquisitiveness and knowledge, along with your determination. To invest the time and rigor necessary to attempt to optimize the endocrine milieu is daunting. I'm sure you've gone down a few rabbit holes and had...

1762 Total T after last lab test

I've not read of many men who do well on 4 mg per day. There was a long thread on T-Nation, last year, just about that, with one man saying that he didn't feel good until he dropped to 5 mg, daily. I tried 10 mg, daily, for several months, which, after subtracting the ester, would be 35 mg per...

1762 Total T after last lab test

Outliers perhaps, but men, under medical care, who feel and function better, with higher numbers. You know that every man on T isn't into weight lifting. All they want is to get their penis to stand at attention more than now and then. If higher total and free accomplish that, for those...

1762 Total T after last lab test

How did you feel when your Total & Free were 'high'? To me, that's the only measurement. Libido, erections, energy, sleep? There are men who believe higher is better. For some of them, yes. Their symptoms don't resolve until they break through the ceiling. Conversely, doctors who only...

    When to inject

After reading several abstracts on melatonin, I tried it, once again, last night, doing my version of time release, taking about .75 mg doses, starting at sunset, for several hours. I did get quite sleepy but when it was lights out, never went to sleep. I'd start to sleep, then wake up, then...

    When to inject

Vince, have you used that protocol or know someone who does use it? The other consideration is being evaluated for medical marijuana. Again, I've read that there are people, particularly those with PTSD, who've found that mj, in different forms, reduces anxiety and improves sleep. After five...
