Did estrogen crash cause me permanent symptoms of low dopamine?

Long story short: Last fall I had my first "proper" estrogen crash with arimidex. The following months were a struggle for me when I tried to re-adjust my adex dose. Now I have to state that before that I had period of months were arimidex seemed to work just fine and I felt good. I did lose...

HCG and elevated estrogen - ai's don't work?

I agree that mr. Myers forum has a very different ethos than the one in here. A lot of folks there seem to rely on personal anecdotals a bit too much - in my opinion. That said I dont think that the place is "filled with nonsense". There are people who bring a sound contribution and are a good...

Half a vial of Sustanon 250 per week

I used sustanon 250 when I started TRT. 0,35ml E5D was a good protocol for me. I tried 0,5ml (125mg) E6D, but that was too much for me. The smaller dose worked well and I was doing pretty good with that protocol. I strongly recommend that your test your peak and through values when you...

E2 crash has given me symptoms for 12 weeks

By reading your post it would seem that your are improving with your symptoms? For some people recovering from low e2 takes a bit longer - even though they have estrogen within good range. Your case is of course a bit different since you are not using any exogenous testosterone. Like other's...

T:E Ratio - What is a Good Number?

Are you sure you posted the DHT reading in the right units? If it truly is 315 ng/dl, then you are at a supraphysiological level and that reading might explain some of your symptoms.

Low SHBG: T Gel along with Injected T has Helped Somewhat

ERO, thank you for sharing your experiences. I was wondering if you've had any trials with supplements/medication that have an affect on your dopamine levels. I also have my periods of low libido and taking a 1/4 tsp of mucuna (L-Dopa) always seems to bring back that which was lost.

Why some men are high aromatizers - looking past the most common factors!

Reduce your body fat, keep your diet clean and don't drink too much beer. If all those are in order you should not have problems with high estrogen. This is the reasoning we all have heard. I saw an internist a few weeks ago who said that by looking at my body type, there's no possibility for me...

My Experiment to Optimize Hematocrit and Iron

Im curious if you have any cognitive symptoms that are usually associated with low iron - poor mood, problems with working memory etc?

On TRT for 4 weeks. Feel great except extremely tired (time for AI?)

If your current estradiol reading is in nmol/l and not pmol/l - like you wrote - then id say it would be probably safe to take 0.25 adex on injection day. I did that for 6 months and it worked just fine.

On TRT for 4 weeks. Feel great except extremely tired (time for AI?)

Your conversion of E2 seems to be wrong. 0.13 nmol/l is 35 pg/ml - not 22. (At least according to this source: http://www.endmemo.com/medical/unitconvert/Estradiol.php ) If that was taken at the end of your injection protocol, it can be much higher during the first days. You should test your...

    Question about Estrogen crash

Having experienced the same thing I can also relate to the way you feel. Im sure you will recover just fine. Regarding my thread on dopamine, I would say that we have no evidence that these kind of permanent issues are happening in humans. I mean there are countless of "estrogen crash stories"...

Estrogen crash causing permanent apathy/lethargy - by destroying your dopamine neurons?

Thanks for all the input guys! As an update on my situation I would say that my apathy is not as bad anymore. Im definitively going in the right direction. Sunday was my injection day and felt pretty good. That said, im pretty sure that I have rebounded now and my guess is that E2 might be a...

Estrogen crash causing permanent apathy/lethargy - by destroying your dopamine neurons?

Also. I finally found a lab in my country that uses the proper technique (LC-MS/MS) for E2 monitoring

Estrogen crash causing permanent apathy/lethargy - by destroying your dopamine neurons?

Well I appreciate your input. I'm scheduled for other labs as well so testing E2 is just a part of it. Also i'm prone to aromatize quit fast and in the past my estrogen has always rebounded within 2 weeks. With that in mind, I think that pulling my E2 two weeks after my last adex does give...

Estrogen crash causing permanent apathy/lethargy - by destroying your dopamine neurons?

It's actually been 1,5 weeks since my last adex. I started test E about a week a go. I want to take labs mainly to see my E2 level. At some point ill probably try more frequent injections, but my I will keep my current protocol as a starting point.

Estrogen crash causing permanent apathy/lethargy - by destroying your dopamine neurons?

Still experiencing apathy - cant really seem to enjoy things like the way I used to. Altough I have to say that I had a couple of good days here and there. Arimidex is still on hold at the moment. Im taking labs next thursday. Also I made a switch from nebido to test e. My current protocol...

    Low e2

Thats a pretty low e2 in a natural state. Im assuming you are quite lean? DHEA is a possible option to raise e2. Another would be transdermal pregnenolone. I also saw a post by mariano where he spoke about the estrogenic effects of inositol (b8).

Estrogen crash causing permanent apathy/lethargy - by destroying your dopamine neurons?

Thanks for sharing your experience. To me experiencing low E2 is almost worse than low t symptoms. Just horrible. Im glad that the worst phase seems to have subsided. May I ask: How long you were low - before estrogen rebounded?

TRT and saturation of dopamine receptors

Interesting thread! Best kick I have gotten from trt has always been when I have restarted injecting sustanon250. The propionate ester gives a really nice rush that seems to las for a day or two. I was able to maintain this experience to a degree when injecting 0,33ml of sust every 5 days...

Estrogen crash causing permanent apathy/lethargy - by destroying your dopamine neurons?

to johndoesmith: I have taken quite a few lab readings this fall. Latest was taken last tuesday and it showed my E2 at 24pg/ml (non sensitive). Being still a dumb ass, I did take 0,25mg adex that day. Had a couple of really bad days after that. now im doing better. I definitely turn into a...

low e2 symptoms didnt go away after crash

When was the last time you tested e2? In your shoes the first things I would do, is to exclude any other conditions that would cause those symptoms - and that includes high e2. I had instances where I was almost certain I was low, when in fact i was high.

Estrogen crash causing permanent apathy/lethargy - by destroying your dopamine neurons?

Here's another study that highlights the neuroprotective effects of estrogen - against various brain toxins: ( https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/11424955 ) "Estrogen also preserves striatal dopamine concentrations in gonadectomized male mice treated with MPTP, but neither testosterone nor...

low e2 symptoms didnt go away after crash

Thats interesting. Do you feel that a portion of your symptoms are tied to low dopamine - anhedonia, apathy, lethargy, low libido? Ive been struggling with those kind of symptoms after my crash. Im hoping that they will subside with time. What worries me is the fact that I found few animal...

    TRT Newbie Frustrated but Hopeful

Thanks Leesto - and others - for a interesting thread. I had a E2 crash this fall myself and it's been quite a struggle ever since. One of the things that I noticed, with the use of an AI, is how your need for it may change greatly with only few variables. For example I lost a about 5 pounds in...

Estrogen crash causing permanent apathy/lethargy - by destroying your dopamine neurons?

Ive been on trt for 2 years now and had a estrogen crash this fall. From that point on I've been trying to redial my Ai protocol, and at the moment, im at a point where i've decided to ditch my arimidex completely. One of the thing that is worrying me is the fact that I cant seem to shake of...
