Can estrogen crash cause desensitization/knock out of the estrogen receptor - lets discuss!

Here are two studies that seem to give support to your experience. Estradiol increases the sensitivity of the ventral tegmental area dopamine neurons to dopamine and ethanol https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/29107956 Estrogen regulates response of dopamine neurons in the ventral tegmental...

Can estrogen crash cause desensitization/knock out of the estrogen receptor - lets discuss!

Despite saying that im still somewhat sceptic towards the proposed theory, I cannot escape the fact that im having many symptoms that these two seem to be having. Ive had e2 crashes before and there was always a certain time period whic brought a clear improvement in symptoms. For me this...

Can estrogen crash cause desensitization/knock out of the estrogen receptor - lets discuss!

Well it's clear that you are definitively suffering from something that emerged after your crash. Hopefully you will find a open minded specialist that can take a thorough look at your situation. I'm not really familiar on how you can test the binding potential of the estrogen receptors. If...

Can estrogen crash cause desensitization/knock out of the estrogen receptor - lets discuss!

Have you been able to find anything from the medical literature that would support your theory? Other than the symptoms you mentioned, how are you doing at the moment? Any libido, drive, ability to enjoy things? Like I wrote in the PM, I still do not feel that im fully back to pre E2 crash...

Can estrogen crash cause desensitization/knock out of the estrogen receptor - lets discuss!

Well as of an update, id like to report that im doing somewhat better. I added HCG to my protocol two weeks ago. Im taking 125 IU ED. The addition of hcg did not worsen my condition. In all honesty im still sceptical about the E2 receptor theory - that was proposed by nurselyfe. how are you...

SHOULD I TRY ARIMIDEX? Labs attached

Your E2 is not elevated and you are only going to make your situation worse if you follow your doctors orders. 113 pmol/l is 30 pg/ml and in my opinion that does not warrant the use of an AI. Taking 0,5mg of adex with an e2 of 30 pg/ml will crash your estrogen pretty fast.

Can estrogen crash cause desensitization/knock out of the estrogen receptor - lets discuss!

As an update, I would like to report that I took a bigger shot of testosterone this week. Nothing drastic just my old protocol of taking 0,15ml of TE E4D. Also I have taken 500iu:s of HCG - in two 250 iu doses. now I believe that this protocol should lead to a somewhat elevated estrogen - in...

Well I guess that excludes any form of hypothyroidism. Did you also pull cortisol?

Can estrogen crash cause desensitization/knock out of the estrogen receptor - lets discuss!

Ive been having pretty decent days lately. Still not fully back to my old self but definitively better. One of the things I decided to try was to take a break from my scrotal t cream application. I was taking a small dose of tostran on a EOD basis. One of the things I found was that DHT can...

Can estrogen crash cause desensitization/knock out of the estrogen receptor - lets discuss!

Well thats not dreadfully low. I think we have a better picture when your fT4 and TSH values arrive. For example I had a decent fT3 few years ago but my fT4 was low. I started thyroxine shortly after that and definitively felt a clear improvement.

Can estrogen crash cause desensitization/knock out of the estrogen receptor - lets discuss!

I Used Arimidex. When I experienced my first crash I was taking 0,5 E3D. I was also using HCG at that time. After that every crash I had was with 0,25mg and never took more frequently than EOD. As a side note: I had a decent day today. No great highs but decent. Did not feel like "dog shit"...

Can estrogen crash cause desensitization/knock out of the estrogen receptor - lets discuss!

Im 30. I would not call myself a bodybuilder. I do hit the gym 3-4 times a week. Never done any blast's. One thing im wondering is the fact how the hypersensitivity of estrogen receptors would lead to a desensitization that is below baseline? I mean when estrogen levels rise - from their...

Ok. Sorry to hear! Can you share your current protocol? Taking any DHEA, Preg or HCG with your test?

Can estrogen crash cause desensitization/knock out of the estrogen receptor - lets discuss!

What are your current symptoms at the moment? Mine are: - Low libido - although not non existent. - Low drive - Lack of the ability to enjoy the things that I used to - dont really feel as connected to others as I used to - Feeling of agitation an "mental pain" after a bigger T shot

Can estrogen crash cause desensitization/knock out of the estrogen receptor - lets discuss!

Since the posts on this matter are quite scattered, I decided to start a new thread. Im hoping that this one could be a hub for all kinds of discussion on this topic. If I have understood correctly the hypothesis on this is that a prolonged deprivation of ones estrogen - by using an AI - may...

I accidentally took too much Arimidex...did I screw myself!?

It will be interesting to see nurselyfe's thyroid numbers. I also feel that I havent fully recovered from my E2 crashes. That said I do not have any of the above symptoms that are usually associated with hypothyroidism. Lowered blood pressure, cold hands and feet, water retention, lowered body...

Did estrogen crash cause me permanent symptoms of low dopamine?

Ok. I read the full study and commented it on a another thread ( https://www.excelmale.com/forum/showthread.php?12229-I-accidentally-took-too-much-Arimidex-did-I-screw-myself%21/page2 ).

I accidentally took too much Arimidex...did I screw myself!?

If I have understood correctly nurselyfe is mainly basing his theory in this animal study: http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/0018506X81900180 Im not really sure if this backs up nurselyfe's theory. Here's what Im seeing from the full study: - The rats with long term estrogen...

Did estrogen crash cause me permanent symptoms of low dopamine?

Care to elaborate? If this is related to your theory that in some estrogen crash causes a desensitization of estrogen receptors, then I would like to see some reference for it. Could you post an open link to that full study?

Did estrogen crash cause me permanent symptoms of low dopamine?

Overall im definitively seeing improvement in my low dopamine symptoms. That said I still feel that things are not fully back to normal with this. My "pleasure response" still seems to be lower. I did a trial with mucuna - which has L-dopa - and my reaction to that was really weak. I didnt...

Did estrogen crash cause me permanent symptoms of low dopamine?

I dont have any lab work at a point when it was crashed near to zero. I have few readings from the day that I took my AI. For example, last may I had a non sensitive reading of 13 pg/ml. Still believing that I needed to take an AI, I took 0,25mg of adex on that day. Felt horrible after that for...

Did estrogen crash cause me permanent symptoms of low dopamine?

Now that I finally have all my bloodwork, Ill give you guys an update on my situation. These labs were taken on the 4th of september which marked my 8th week without an AI. My protocol with these labs was 0,075ml of TE EOD and 5-7mg of test cream EOD. My weekly testosterone dosage was about...

    Is HCG Causing My Anxiety?

The times when I felt agitated was when my testosterone levels were too high or estrogen was too low. I have been following your threads and post's for a while now. You seem to be bringing up a lot of different hypothesis for your symptoms. When was the last time you took a full set of labs...

Did estrogen crash cause me permanent symptoms of low dopamine?

Thanks for sharing your experience! Your first symptoms probably were due to the bupropion withdrawal. Im assuming that your dopamine receptors got used to the higher levels of dopamine in the synapse and after you stopped it took a while your brain found a new homeostasis with the lower...

Did estrogen crash cause me permanent symptoms of low dopamine?

I would like to give an update in a sence that I feel that im somewhat improving. I seem to be having bettter days now; more motivation, able to enjoy things again, anxiety is not as strong anymore. Overall I feel that im not as apathetic as I used to be. Libido could definitively be better...

Did estrogen crash cause me permanent symptoms of low dopamine?

The list on this site pretty much nails my symptoms that intensify on my bad days: http://mentalhealthdaily.com/2015/04/02/low-dopamine-levels-symptoms-adverse-reactions/ "Weight changes" is the only symptom on that list that does not apply to me.

Did estrogen crash cause me permanent symptoms of low dopamine?

I do not know about "testosterone flu", but I did have a period of adaption when I first started TRT. It went pretty much the way you described. Im sure there is a somewhat similar need for adaptation when you are recovering from an estrogen crash. I will give it time and report back!

Did estrogen crash cause me permanent symptoms of low dopamine?

Thanks for the response vince! Like I stated, I haven't taken an AI during the past 4 weeks and im planning to go without it for 8 weeks and then I will test E2 - LC/MS/MS. With my current test dose the protocol for the AI was 0,25mg of adex taken E4D. One of the most confusing things has...
