I have no idea if this is true or not but I have heard endurance athletes that use drugs to boost hematocrit but can not have it too high because they get tested lower it by doing cardio. They just get on the bike and keep checking it until it's dropped to desired level.

I did SQ for several weeks 3 times a week when I started and every single injection left me with a hard lump for 3 days. Switched to IM and never an issue. That seems to be only a small percentage of guys on TRT though so for you it could be no issue.

I think low dead space is the key. I use 25g 5/8 inch and whatever I'm losing each injection is extremely minimal. Going to a smaller gauge needle wouldn't save me much. If you're having oil leakage, it's possible you're doing the z track method incorrectly.
