How do/did you choose an "expert" TRT doctor?

I kinda agree with you IF you have a doctor that's willing to be guided by you. Some doctors have very strong ideas, won't try anything new and won't prescribe things unless it's their idea! Others (like the endo I'm using) has strong ideas but is willing to listen to mine as well and try things...

    Thoughts on my latest bloods?

Wow, small world. But same lab I assume (Launnie Path here, assuming you’re Hobart, both done in the same place anyway). I’m up north but using an endo in Hobart, who are you dealing with? Been thinking of changing, for a few reasons.... So yeah - losing a bit of weight is one thing that might...

    Thoughts on my latest bloods?

Tassie here. Early 40s. Yeah the low SHBG thing is difficult, mine is high thankfully. Think that makes life a little simpler. What’s your body comp like? If overweight, getting leaner can help with aromatisation to E2 as well.

    Thoughts on my latest bloods?

I think the general feeling round here is that it's only too high if you're having negative symptoms or side effects. So for example if your E2 is too high and that's causing issues, or your haematocrit is high, etc etc. So it really depends. Yeah it's high in terms of the reference range but...

    Thoughts on my latest bloods?

Yes your free test is high. Your estrogen is high. Your SHBG is low so it isn’t binding much of the testosterone and estrogen and it’s flushing through your system pretty quick. How do you feel? If it was me I’d suggest a lower dose but I’m a newbie at this. And the docs here in Aus are mostly...

    High SHBG

Thanks for the confirmation - good to know. Based on that my free test number would probably be considered low by some! It's actually at the very high end of the reference range provided by the lab here (reference range is 91-579 pmol/L). Labs before this I was a little higher at 590 pmol/L...

Well I apologise for jumping to conclusions. That said, I think your levels, especially at your age, are at a stage where I wouldn't be jumping into TRT and I'd be attempting more conservative interventions first. Diet, sleep, lifestyle, etc. I'd be interested to hear more about those. And I...

    Results 24yo

I suspect that you're probably in an energy deficit, diet wise, eating like a typical body builder (lowish fat) and that is suppressing your natural production. Eat some more food, so you're definitely in caloric maintenance or a very slight surplus, let things stabilise for a month or so, then...

    High SHBG

Interesting, I just used the calculator linked above (Free & Bioavailable Testosterone calculator) My latest bloodwork has: - Total Test 35.1 nmol/L - SHBG 69 nmol/L - Albumin 41 g/L - Calculated FTe 517 pmol/L If I'm using the calculator correctly, it gave me a calculated free testosterone...

    High SHBG

I too have found my SHBG has only come down marginally even on a 125mg weekly injection. I don’t mind this personally as it means my E2 also stays within a healthy range, and I would probably prefer not to inject more frequently as it’s just another (minor) inconvenience.

Where to Buy Cheap Cialis without a Prescription

I like that beta alanine tingle though :) I use a few different pre workouts, but most of my training sessions are in the evening so I use non stimulant formulas for those. I do enjoy getting loaded up on caffeine for a daytime session though - today’s took just over 2 hours with a lot of squat...

AllDayChemist is where I got mine too. Early days yet. I’ve been taking 5mg/day for a few days too. Think maybe it’s helped with the BPH, I know I had a massive pump on in the gym today too (but I also took a LOT of preworkout :))

BPH - Enlarged Prostate After being on TRT

My PSA has been between 0.41-0.49 in the last few tests; I’m only 42 so a little young to be having these issues!

BPH - Enlarged Prostate After being on TRT

I’ve been following this thread for a while, it’s been interesting. I have been suffering BPH symptoms for a few years now - frequent need to pee, difficulty holding on, difficulty actually finishing properly - lots of standing around watching the drips! I discussed it with my doctor a few years...

    Lower abdominal protrusion

Could also be visceral fat not subcutaneous. The answer is the same though. Eat at a caloric deficit, burn body fat, it will go eventually if you get lean enough.

    started TRT feel great but....

Give it time. It will take 6 weeks or so for you to get to a steady state and adjust. Then look at bloods, see how you feel and discuss with your doc.

    TESTOSTERONE ONLY, NOTHING ELSE.

I've been on T only for the last few months. No major issues as yet, though I'm due for some blood work in the next week or so to double check things.

How quickly my body burns through SUS250 over 2 weeks (Graph using bloodwork)

Thanks - this is pretty informative! I have been injecting 125mg/week of Primoteston Depot (enanthate) and going pretty well (I have high SHBG) but Primoteston is in very short supply at the moment so I just picked up some Sustanon as an alternative. Was planning on doing the same thing with...

    The TRT "trifecta"...Why?

It really depends who is treating you. I’m in Australia and it is obviously different here but I started TRT a few months ago on just testosterone, no AI or HCG. I’ve discussed them both with my endocrinologist but at this stage I’m doing just fine without both. From what I have read here and...

    What exactly is "clean eating"

There really isn’t a definition of ‘clean eating’ - it’s in the eye of the beholder, but generally as noted above it means a very low proportion of processed foods, and a very high proportion of fresh fruit, vegetables and lean meats. I’d also say it typically would involve simple/healthy...

    Sustanon 250mg vs Testoviron 250mg

Here in Australia it’s about normally about $35 AUD for 3 1ml syringes of Primoteston. I haven’t purchased Sustanon yet but I’m told it’s about $90 for 3ml. Neither are government subsidised.

    Protein bars

There are definitely differences other than flavour. Some use mostly whey/milk protein and others use lots of soy. Some are sweetened with sugar alcohols, others with stevia, others with actual sugar. Most have a reasonable amount of fibre because they use stuff like oligosaccharides. Some of...

    Sustanon 250mg vs Testoviron 250mg

That’s really good to hear. There is currently a worldwide shortage of Primoteston Depot (Testosterone Enantate) so myself and many others will likely have to switch to Sustanon as an alternative, at triple the price. I am hoping some more Primoteston turns up before I have to fill the...

What is the testosterone dose for muscle gain?

Of course you can gain muscle. Even at your age. I've seen plenty of people (including myself) manage to gain muscle in their middle age even with low T, if you get your T levels optimal you'll be able to do it, you just have to train and eat. I'm only a couple of months into my TRT journey...

    Creatine and sleep

No sleep problems from creatine here, though I do normally take it in the morning, but I also regularly use a preworkout containing creatine before evening training and haven’t noticed any difference.

What is the testosterone dose for muscle gain?

Personally, to answer that question I'd refer to a podcast I heard recently with Broderick Chavez (a sports performance specialist who specialises in enhanced athletes). He suggested that it's the levels over time that matter, for an extreme example if two people each had a bottle of 100 pills...

Hello! 42yo Aussie, 6 weeks into TRT

Thanks Mark, I am feeling pretty good! A lot more energy, morning wood is back, gym progress is happening again. My latest blood work actually has me well above reference range for free T but SHBG still high, and calculated free T is only a smidgen above the reference, with oestradiol bang in...

trying out supplements and gaining weight

You are underweight in my opinion, though everyone has a different settling point. For reference, I’m 5’11” and currently around 149lbs, dieting this low is likely one of the reasons for my virtually non-existent T. Ideally I’d like to get up closer to 80kgs (175lbs) but stay lean ish (about...
