    List of high Estradiol symptoms

I forgot to mention elevated estrogen also causes BPH (increases stromal proliferation). And is known to increase the risk of numerous forms of cancer.

    List of high Estradiol symptoms

This whole topic has gone off the rails. NO ONE advises tanking estrogen. But E that is too high--for a particular individual--beings water retention, depression, sexual dysfunction, gyno, fatigue and weakness. Also, fat. This nonsense that E burns fat is simply not true. Guys with high E put...

Yes, they really are good people. It's always a pleasure to work with them. The positive energy around the office brightens everyone's day. I hasten to add you have to be REALLY good at what you do to work there. Everyone associated with the practice is. When you consider the average...

    Hypochondriac:

As an aside, I currently have a patient who requires Anastrazole at 1mg per day. He is an alcoholic, and liver stress shunts androstenedione directly to estrogen, instead of testosterone. The alcohol also ramps up his aromatase enzyme, so he converts more T to E on top of that. I've had maybe 2...

    Your Experience with Defy

In my 17 years (total) in medicine, Defy is without a doubt the best run medical practice I have seen. So if emails have gone unanswered, that really surprises me. But I do know, from my own experience, there are patients who send email after email, and will call numerous times (in the same...

    edema[swelling] what is the cause

Jill is certainly correct. Just changing hormone levels can bring on untoward--or beneficial--side effects. Like dropping a pebble in a pond, things even out. We may see some initial nipple tenderness, water retention, increased (or decreased) libido....all temporary, and just because levels are...

    edema[swelling] what is the cause

Sometimes when initiating GH therapy water retention results. It's basically the body shifting water between compartments. It evens out. Nelson, because your body is not used to higher carbs, the enzymes and pathways are different than for those who do. An analogy is when a person who does not...

    Low T & Opiates

Oh...I know....sometimes when I take that bottle of test cyp out, to give a patient a shot, it catches me "just right'. LOL Former smokers who restart will almost always say they were somewhere (used to be bars) and they smelled a cigarette, and it caught them "just right".

    Low T & Opiates

I disagree. Hypogonadism makes EVERYTHING more difficult. TRT also decreases inflammation, and increases pain threshold. Important parts of recovery. And congrats on your success!!!!

IGF-1 levels low - how to boost?

That is still a fraction of the cost of Growth Hormone. I saw an email from Defy last week that they have lowered the price on the Sermorelin.

Estradiol of over 27 pg/mL protects bones in HIV+ people

In all male patients suffering osteopenia I try to leave estrogen at a higher concentration. Estrogen inhibits the osteoclast cells in the bones from removing calcium and putting it back into the blood stream. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2199029/

    Oral HCG?

Excellent points, Jasen. It would take just a few minutes, and less than 100 bucks, for these people to prove the efficacy of oral HCG: A serum HCG test before, and then after, sublingual application of an HCG troche. ....to my knowledge, no one has been able to do that.

Does supplements that contain FLAXSEED OIL raise or affect E2 or aromatase?

The lignans in flax seed act as estrogen in the body. As has been already pointed out, every-body is different. Having said that, while some men on TRT may need, for instance, an aromatase inhibitor while on TRT, while others may not; lignans are always estrogen. Whether the bother you or not...

Why some men run out of their injectable testosterone before their next refill

That is very interesting. Just today a patient told me he is taking more than he is prescribed in order to "make up for that lost inside the syringe and needle". ....as if the syringe is not built and calibrated to deliver a nearly exact dose. Another thing I have heard, numerous times over...
