    I’m running out early?

No it's not a crazy occurrence. It just happened to me. I realized it in the last few days. I also have a 10ml vial and it is supposed to go 90 days. I think the needle comment is spot on. They switched up on me.

Agree with System Lord. My SHBG dropped from 50 to 30 after I started on Test Cyp.

Total T in Range but ED Problem

As a guy in his mid 50's, I can attest to the sleep and stress comment above. They can wreak havoc on erection quality when you are older (and probably younger guys too). Going through one of those periods right now!

Total T in Range but ED Problem

Cat, As always, thanks for posting this timely article. As I get older, I am struggling more and more with nervous side of this process, or "psychogenic" if you prefer. Any amount of performance anxiety or stress seems to shut down my erections very quickly. My Body Logic doctor has...

PT 141 diminishing effect on erections?

Be interested to try this product. I suffer from occasional bouts of horrible performance anxiety (in the moment). It's like my brain just severs the nerve to my penis. Face gets flushed and hands clammy. When I am relaxed, things work generally very well. Hard to predict sometimes. When...

Study shows lower Alzheimer's risk in Viagra users

That is one of the theories, along with the fact that they say that the drug also interacts with the amyloid and tau proteins. I liked that they pointed out correlation does not mean causation, which is often missing in these articles.

LDL high but HDL ok, Triglycerides low, VLDL low, should I be concerned?

Not going to get into the diet wars... but I get your comment about your doctor. Who does your TRT? My TRT doctor is more "whole body" medicine. He has no problem attacking root causes especially possible heart disease. He ordered the Boston Heart Study labs for me along with CAC. Maybe you...

LDL high but HDL ok, Triglycerides low, VLDL low, should I be concerned?

A carotid ultrasound can be useful if it shows your IMT (thickness) of your artery walls. If the IMT is high it would indicate you likely have plaque buildup. There is strong correlation between IMT in your carotid artery and what you could expect in your coronary arteries. No radiation...

LDL high but HDL ok, Triglycerides low, VLDL low, should I be concerned?

Before commenting on the above values, have you had a calcium score (CAC) test to determine if and how much calcified plaque you have in your coronary arteries? You can usually get one set up yourself in most states for $150. That would go a long way to determine if these LDL values are truly...

Waking up to urinate 2 or 3 times during the night?

Got my A1C back from Discounted Labs: 5.1. Very happy with that result. My fasting glucose still hovers between 88-92. Ok, but not great. My fasting insulin level was 1.8 (< 4.5 is good). I don't follow a low carb diet, just try to avoid sugar and junky carbs. TRT certainly helps.

Waking up to urinate 2 or 3 times during the night?

Sorry I was looking at the UK ranges which is over 6.0. My fasting blood sugar seems to jump around. I have tested anywhere between 68-94 over the last few years. Seems to be around 90 lately. A1C hasn't been tested in awhile, last one was 5.4. Pre TRT I was getting close to 6.0...

Waking up to urinate 2 or 3 times during the night?

Most doctors do not consider A1C of 5.5 to 5.8 and fasting blood sugar of 92 to be pre-diabetic. The range is > 6.0 and repeated tests over 100.

Age related ED: How to Prevent it and Manage it

Circling back to this study, I am wonder if Alpha Blockers (such as Dox) would have a positive effect on the Smooth Muscle Cells (SMC) that seem to be the cause of most venous leakage. My doctor has offered those as a med for my mild BP issues. (Currently on Lisinopril)

    Statin use

To Mark M above: Note that the product you mention (Cholesterol Care by HCN) contains a heft dose of Red Yeast Rice which as I described has the same essential active ingredient as statin drugs. It also has Niacin which is proven to raise HDL. Glad it worked for you but it is similar to...

    Statin use

If you search this site (or the Internet in general), you will find many threads on the evils of statins. They are also one of the most prescribed drugs in history and have a proven medical record of reducing heart attacks in patients at risk. But like all drugs they can have side effects. Or...

    Weekly Injections

I started out weekly, then moved to 2X per week, and now am injecting 3X per week, or roughly every 2.5 days. My overall dosage is somewhat lower, and it has smoothed out all of the highs/lows. Like you, I would feel good right before my next injection. I found out my peak was running 1400...

    CAC SCORE UPDATE

Sad to say Lp(a) is nearly 100% genetic at this point in their knowledge. That can be a tough one to overcome. However, given that you are at 61 with very minimal plaque, that is certainly an achievement with high Lp(a).

    CAC SCORE UPDATE

You have a long way to go, but you are doing the right things to keep the progression as slow as possible. You mentioned in your first post that you looked at LP(a) and some other advanced biomarkers. How did those numbers look?

    CAC SCORE UPDATE

I may have missed it, but what is your age? That is important in looking at CAC scores. Yours are very low, HOWEVER, if you are quite young then your atherosclerosis will have time to worsen. If you are 50+, then those scores are very minimal and you have time to try some of the methods...

    B12 and libido

I am on Red Yeast Rice. It contains the precursor chemical to all statins (including Crestor). I don't have high LDL, and it lowers it slightly. For higher LDL, they will insist on a full prescriptions statin to control the dosage and quality. RYR varies greatly in potency. I wouldn't...

My regular ED regimen not working + anxiety - advice welcome

Don't underestimate the mental side when it comes to performance anxiety. It can immediately kill erections before you start. It is hard to deal with, but if your partner is willing, it is worth the time. Mountain Man on this forum can help with some great resources. Cialis and Viagra can't...

    B12 and libido

I am MTHFR positive and have been on B vitamin therapy for about 6 years (under the guidance of my doctor). I take Methyl CPG (3 different B vitamins) and a Methyl B12 sublingual. I have lowered my homocysteine from the 15 range to down around 8.0. This therapy, combined with TRT and...

Fish oil and heart health with high heart scan (CAC) score of 850

Fish Oil is not a replacement for primary drugs that help combat heart disease. They normally combat high triglycerides, which you don't really have. As the posters mention, there aren't many downsides, so I am sure that will be part of your plan. With an 850 calcium score, you have some...

    Blood Test Advice

It would also be helpful to know SHBG so a calculated Free T number can be derived. I had numbers similar to you and benefitted quite a bit from TRT. My bet would be you have higher SHBG which drops your bioavailable T. Probably why you have symptoms.

Anyone taking Lisinopril for high blood pressure?

Call your doctor and drop the Lisinopril in favor of something else. Also, look at dropping your dosage to get your hematocrit down. keep us posted.

Anyone taking Lisinopril for high blood pressure?

I take 20mg in the morning and 10 mg before bed, so split my dose. I don't notice any difference. There are studies out there that show that most BP drugs (other than diuretics) work better overall taken before bed if your dose is only once per day.

Anyone taking Lisinopril for high blood pressure?

Neil, Agree with you one point for sure: my erections improved after I dropped HCTZ. I tried every known natural way to lower my BP. My diet was already clean, with a lot of veggies. I am a marathon runner (more a half these days!). Some cases of hypertension are genetic or called...

Anyone taking Lisinopril for high blood pressure?

SH- I have been on Lisinopril for over 7 years and it does the trick. As you probably have found, some folks (10% or less) get a dry cough from ACE Inhibitors, so it that is you, you should try something else. I started with HCTZ (a diuretic). I dropped that last year as it was affecting EQ...
